Did book for the lister arms pub for our stay but were put in the lister barn Instead I purposely wanted my stay to be in the pub as this was a surprise for my partners birthday on Monday 24 th He has always wanted to stay in a pub So hence the surprise I was very dissatisfied with the decision to put us in the barn The barn was nice, room good But this was the whole point of my booking to stay in a pub

A really lovely place to stay to visit Malham - and central to several great walks.

One tiny thing. In the barn the fresh milk is kept in a central location - a small jug in the room to be able to collect some would have worked well.

The pub was lovely. In a beautiful location. Our room in the Barn was very comfortable and quiet. The food was really good and everybody friendly and helpful.

Room was right next to the outside sitting area for the pub. Had to get used to people being so close but never was a real problem

Breakfast was excellent. Able to park in car park at all times. Ease of being able to walk from the hotel and not take a car to start a hike

Breakfast started a bit late for us, no fridge in the room.

Beautiful pub and hotel. All the staff we met were friendly and made us feel very welcome. We had a wonderful stay, the only downside was that the room and food/drinks were very expensive. This is a lovely pub with country style done well and that obviously comes at a premium.

The room could potentially do with a lick of paint here and there on the walls, but nothing majorly noticeable.

Lovely location. Fabulous pub and restaurant. Great rooms - large in size with a lovely, big comfy bed. The shower was very powerful and warm. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The included breakfast was the best hotel breakfast we've had and a great choice of options available. We were able to park all day, even after we checked out, whilst we went for a hike.

The setting is lovely, very central and the room was comfortable. Breakfast and dinner were excellent. The beer was generally good but several of the ales were off. Decent wine list. Parking is easy and plentiful.

We very much enjoyed the homey atmosphere of the Lister Arms. The food was delicious, the included breakfast quite filling-perfect for a full day of hiking. We felt very spoiled by the king sized bed, and it was very appreciated for a restful night. We loved the hikes around Malham and not having to worry about driving or parking, so the location was excellent. The pub had 4 choices of non-alcoholic beer: for those who don't drink, that's a great and rare offering!
