Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Lots of restaurants and take away places close by and a short walk to the train station right into the city centre. Honestly, for a short stay in London I'd recommend staying there rather than in the city centre. The cost is so much less and it's only 20 minutes on the train right into the thick of things.

United StatesThe lobby had a musty smell when I arrived but I didn't notice it in my room and it was gone from the lobby the next morning.
This was the perfect place to stay before my morning flight from LGW. I utilized the shuttle service which was so convenient and less than either a taxi or Uber. Quasim was easy to communicate with and made my stay even more enjoyable by offering suggestions on dining and helping me with my luggage. The room was lovely with a nice view of the garden. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was roomy with a nice bathtub. Just a couple minutes up the road is a cute area with shops and restaurants. I will definitely stay here again when flying in/out of London Gatwick airport!

CanadaCommunication was excellent and we were picked up at the airport having been given clear directions as to what to do and where to meet. We had a lovely room, with coffee and tea and lovely clean linen. The accommodation was immaculate. Breakfast was timely and delicious. A problem of our own making; We had left a bag with our passports at a local restaurant the night before our flight and did not realize it until the following morning when we were scheduled to fly home. The Guest House were responsive and helpful: They called the restaurant, although we knew it did not open until noon, and left a message about our dilemma. They provided us with a phone so we could contact the airline and try to rebook a later flight and they assured us there was a room available should we need to stay another day. Fortunately, whilst talking to the airline, the restaurant called saying they had our passports and someone would meet us at the restaurant to return them to us. The owner of the Guest House had already loaded our bags into the car. He then drove us to the restaurant to retrieve our passports before taking us to the airport just in time. We felt cared for and supported by the Lawn Guest House. I would highly recommend this accommodation for the owner's attention to detail and his genuine concern for the wellbeing of his clientele is commendable.

The only thing I would say is that I was thinking of staying for a night on my own soon, before picking someone up at Gatwick the next morning, but the price for a single person is the same as for two people. For two people it is excellent value though!
We had a meeting in London and wanted to spend the day there, and Horley is a very good place to drive to. The Lawn Guesthouse is near the station and the rooms are lovely. It is my second stay here.

Lovely clean room/ensuite. Accommodation is located in a tree lined residential area a short drive from LGW Airport. Airport Shuttle very reasonable/efficient - also Holiday Parking available.
