Not a dislike but just an area that could be improved & that was a bit of cleanliness. Rooms were fab - great bed, bedding & towels & bath/shower etc clean but low down in the room - plugs/skirtings were quite dusty.

Location was so lovely - drive up from Marlow to a beautiful village & just felt like you were escaping. Having the restaurant there was so good - hadn’t planned to eat there but on arrival changed our minds straight away. Food was delicious & the vegan menu excellent for my friend. For me the ribs were so good. The staff were so lovely, especially Becky- made us feel so welcome & looked after us, just a really lovely experience. Wished we had booked 2 nights.

We arrived too early (about 1.30) to check in so enjoyed a lovely lunch from the menu. As the room wasn’t ready we decided to drive into Marlow then received a call at 3pm to be told that food was only being served until 5pm. It’s a shame we wasn’t told that when we arrived. We had some drinks when we returned and then overheard the bar was closing at 9pm. Staff were kind enough to allow us to order a takeaway but overall this dampened our stay. The location is stunning but when you can’t eat or drink the lack of ease to go elsewhere let it down.

Currently undergoing a change of ownership. Our bedroom was a bit tired and needed the bathroom re-doing and a fresh coat of paint too. The fire exit sign was so bright in our room plus the light streaming in from the hallway meant that we had quite a disturbed nights sleep due to the light pollution

Recently refurbished pool was lovely. Warm enough even on a cold rainy day. Nice to have an onsite restaurant with good food. Plenty of parking and really friendly staff.

What a cracking hotel to rest up for a couple of nights, the pool ( heated ) was an added bonus. Amazing staff and food. I’ll be back.

Bedroom -rather a lot of features didn't work. Curtain rail broken, shower flooded the place due to blocked nozzles, lighting in shower useless, mirror impossible to use for shaving, makeup, etc due to position in corner of bathroom, no shaver socket, radiator on all night. Breakfast wasn't great -no choice just pastry and service v slow. Floors needed cleaning.

Evening meal and bar very good. Owner very friendly. Bed comfortable.

Fabulous stay in this gem of a hotel. Weather made it more perfect for use of pool and outdoor facilities. Breakfast was adequate, lunch was fantastic and all staff really friendly and accommodating

The Breakfast menu was less impressive and the quality of the meal was not as good as the evening meal. The service was acceptable if a little less enthusiastic than the evening staff. We stayed in a room next to the pool which was nice but we could not make the air conditioning work so the room became very hot overnight and we slept with the door open to provide some ventilation.

Nice room next to the pool. The pool although not big was pleasant to use. The evening meal was very good and the service was very friendly. The menu choices were broad and gave us more than enough to choose from. The standard of the meal was high.

Unforuately out shower did not work and we had to use a friends in next room .The toilet seat was very loose and the sink and soap dispensers needed a little more attention when being cleaned .

The area was beautiful, quiet and relaxing . The rooms we clean ,nicely decorated and very private .

Couldn’t work out how to heat, light or turn on TV but staff helped in no time.

Friendliness, helpful staff, good food for breakfast. Lovely garden around us full of birdsong. So relaxing. Thank you.

Breakfast - in comparison to everything else was disappointing. Continental included but very basic - anything else chargeable and the bacon sandwich presented was poor. Such a shame as everything else was brilliant.

Boutique style. Comfortable seating areas Great snacks and dinner menu. Staff fantastic Will definitely tell friends about this little gem and go back again too

My biggest problem breakfast tart at8;30am. the waiter told me he can get it at 8am the eraliest. I'm afraid if you are travelling for work that's too late. sure for holiday is good for the late start, but not for work.

The struggle at breakfast bearing in mind I'd told them of my dietary requirements when I booked. As I said it did get resolved but surely they could source gluten free sausages.

The room was excellent although the housekeeping was a little brief. My husband enjoyed his breakfast but no croissant on the 2nd day (continental breakfast is included in the price and comes pre-plated). I struggled a little as I need to be gluten free but it all got sorted in the end.

Rooms ample for 2 people and 2 dogs, the smaller courtyard room was great. Continental Breakfast, all produce fresh, lovely. The evening menu is very good, would recommend the cod loin and the venison.

Rooms could do with a deep clean. Cobwebs and dust was clearly visible and found an artificial petal on the floor, possibly left behind by previous guests.

we had a pool room and felt that a hand rail would be a help on the steps going down to the room.

the evening meal was very tasty and well cooked. had continental breakfast which was very nice. also enjoyed the bar and the locals were very friendly.
