Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaThis is a good option for a stay in London. It’s tucked away from busy areas but not too far away. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. If I came back to London, I would stay here again

NorwayIt is steep. We paid upwards of 600£ for TWO nights. The fares even if it is central London is on the higher side and it pulls down my point several spots because we are all in a tight economy. This being a 4 * hotel- i would assume a few things were in order. And as someone who needs to travel disability friendly, i can't always go for the motel options as they usually are in areas with a lot of stairs and long a-ways out of the central areas. Some sort of discount for the reasons listed WOULD make it better and more attractive for people like me as a wheelchair user. The other part that dragged down my point scale furter is that there are no complementary breakfast included. This costs 5£ for some options only stated on the website. There are a Rondo downstairs who does serve a breakfast option. But this is upwards of 32£ a couple- and it is yet again an extra fee on top of it already being expensive. I would love to come back, but is just isn't feasible under the conditions as stated. Lovely crew, lovely area. Overall makes me so sad to see that being how it is. But a big part for me is to relax on holiday and to enjoy the food and the feeling of really being away. It also stated breakfast included on the booking when i ordered it. So i was quite surprised it wasn't. It should also be possible to do half day pay- for half day stays. We paid for a full day when we informed of our late arrival. And considering you could choose check in time- this would be more than attractive for people arriving late. (1- hour till the next day type of situation) it felt like changes made to the booking was hard to do and we felt obliged to pay what we was asked. With the current rates- that's around 8000,- Nok for your norwegian crowd. And is the MOST expensive i have ever paid for any stay in my life. I see myself as a realistic and down to earth type- so if it shocks me- it's gonna shock most.
The placement of the hotel is acessible and very comfortable straight off the streets of Holborn. Which is so close by Leichester square that you really can walk between almost all the close areas where you might wanna visit. The staff is excellent and know how to provide good service. We were provided a gift in the room as well as a complimentary drink and a written note. It felt very up close and personal. The rooms are a tad BIT small and on the stranger side when it comes to room design/ size of the rooms. I could not easily get to the closet area and the fridge it being in a corner with a long narrow corridor first. Everything is very chill and gives the impression of a hip, young crowd that knows how to do shared spaced. And it is always full in the lobby. Very infromal and open. Lovely atmosphere and i slept so well here too.

BelgiumThe in-room coffee pads are a bit weak.
Comfortable bed and great shower. Beautifully decorated rooms and lobby. Nice breakfast area and good food there. Very friendly and attentive staff. After an initial problem of a misplaced luggage and a bit stuffy room, I got another room and a nice upgrade, because it was a larger room. The staff manager did all she could to make me forget the false start and succeeded. Thank you ! Location near Holborn Underground station gets your around London quickly.

United KingdomLovely breakfast on both days. OK things to pick at were the following: - small room, but them I am from up north where things are much cheaper, so fair enough. - waited 15 minutes to get served for a soft drink, because bar staff were exclusively making cocktails. So, more bar staff maybe? But otherwise, lovely hotel, staff and great location too. Would stay again

South AfricaRoom doors not 100% soundproof. We could hear when guests spoke in passage, and doors closing across the passage.
Excellent location, and reasonably priced by London standards. Barely 150m from Holborn tube station. The lounge downstairs had a great vibe, and excellent coffees.

The location mainly but the staff are very friendly and helpful. But being only 2 minutes from Holborn station is its best attribute. The bar downstairs has a really nice vibe. Nice breakfast as well.

SwedenI really liked this hotel, but if its something i would say the food. It didnt taste bad at all, i just dont think i would pay that much for the food. But we ate there a few times but we mostly ate outside, and it worked that too!😊
The staff was really helpful and kind and helped with questions. One staff, named Sam helped us so much and were such a good and nice staff! The Rooms were so clean and the design was so clean and cozy! The hotel is located in a good area, near the ”City”, and it was so easy to take the tube or undergrund to diffrent locations.😊
