Probably the only thing was one needed to find a place to park.

Rachel; the proprietor made the stay. She was fun and caring. It was like going home to a family or friend. There was a common lounge downstairs that was intimate and cozy with a REAL Log Burning Fireplace. Nice to sit at in the evenings.

A lovely stay in Rye. The house is extremely well situated for exploring the town and surrounds. Breakfast was fresh and delicious - excellent job catering for vegan and vegetarian guests.

We felt instantly at home in this beautiful property. Rachel was such a kind and welcoming host, and the room was cosy and very clean. We particularly enjoyed sitting by the window watching the world go by on Mermaid Street. We would love to come back!

I really liked everything about it.

The House with Two Front Doors is full of warmth and character. Comfortable bedrooms, lovely sitting rooms, central and in one of Rye’s prettiest streets. The host, Rachael, is a force of nature - kind, considerate, welcoming - and a great cook. Breakfast is sensational.

Difficult to fault- we had a lovely weekend!

Location was perfect on Mermaid St- right in the centre just a few minutes from the station. Rachael was the perfect host with plenty of recommendations for us and cooked a lovely breakfast on both mornings we were there. The room we had was huge with tea and coffee making facilities and a good sized bathroom. We also met another couple at breakfast which was lovely too! Highly recommended to stay there if looking for somewhere less formal than a hotel with all the comforts.

The house feels like a home and we felt like friends visiting. The whole place is completely coherent with the wonderful town of Rye, like going back in time. We highly recommend this special and incredibly charming place.

The only thing I didn’t like is that I had to go home!

Everything about my stay was perfect. The house is beautiful, it was amazing to stay somewhere with so much history and on such a lovely street. My room was gorgeous and cosy, and I loved sitting by the window to do some people watching. Rachael is a fantastic host who has great recommendations about the local area, and made delicious breakfasts and cakes each morning. I also met her little dog who is adorable!!
