Lovely little hotel, very cosy and relaxed

Nothing to dislike

A welcoming, friendly stay that was both convenient for visiting family in the area and as a place to meet for dinner. Quiet, comfortable and a lovely old building combining a cosy country pub feel, a restaurant that had a popular local atmosphere and staff who were engaging helpful and pleasant throughout our stay. Good parking, outside spaces, easy access to surrounding places of interest.

It was comfortable, had everything we needed, and the breakfast was delicious. Kes and her team were patient with the various wedding party changes and wonderful hosts. We had a lovely few days

Staff were all very friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome. The room was cosy, well equipped, with nice lighting and was bigger than I expected. Food was great too.

As an old property the bathroom showed signs of damp on the wall picture & the bath signs of wear.

A character full property. Friendly & helpful staff. Good menu & tasty food. Free Prosecco & beer in fridge. Lots of little extra touches. Good value stay with good parking.

Lovely stay in a very well appointed and spotlessly clean room. The staff were excellent and incredibly welcoming, even lending us a book with local walks so we could take an evening stroll.

The en-suite could do with updating. Very impractical shower. Not easy to use without water going everywhere!

The shower in the bath was poor. Water went everywhere and picture on wall above bath was poorly positioned.however that was a minor point that didn't spoil our stay.

Sophie looked after us when we arrived. She was very efficient, friendly and welcoming. We ate at the pub and had one of the best.meals we have had in a long time. Book of local walks in the bedroom was a great asset. Also enjoyed the complimentary prosecco and beer.

Nothing really. The building is old, typical English. Don't expect modern standard bathrooms like in a big chain hotel on the continent, but that's part of the charme. It's all clean and everything works, but you'd have to try and mix a separate hot and cold water stream together into something you can use. :-)

Great atmosphere and fantastic and personal service from the host. Really good place to stay, have a drink and use as a base while in the area.

Fantastic staff, couldn't have been any more helpful. Nice big clean rooms. We had an early start next day, and they offered to make up a breakfast packed lunch so we didn't miss out.

What a lovely place, we have booked again for a couple of nights during Air Tattoo for 2025. Our room The Snug was lovely, very comfy. We can a meal in the pub which was excellent. Staff were very friendly and great service. We left before breakfast was served but the chef kindly made us up a bag of pastries, fruit, biscuits and juice which was brilliant.

Fabulous room, loved the bath and free prosecco 😀 staff were so helpful and lovely. Although we didn't need heating there was an oil filled rad which was great for drying our wet clothes.

The stairs to the room and its location. Very noisy for late night residents returning inebriated. The road is fairly busy The restaurant is not budget friendly although the food standard pub fayre. Albeit well cooked and presented.

Location, amenities, service, staff. Gorgeous room with all of the home comforts. It’s well frequented and popular. The manager highly efficacious. We really liked the breakfast waitress - incredibly friendly. Lots of attention to detail throughout our stay.
