The location was surberb and with ambience to match.Breakfast was excellent. Staff were very good indeed. Only negative was the room was above the kitchen and the extraction fan was very noisy but stopped at 9pm ( as advised) which didn't impact on sleeping.

Only two negatives the room that we stayed in the wash basin was very small, and the key hole was not set correctly which made it rather frustrating trying to unlock and lock the door.

The breakfast was served in a clean and bright area. A good selection of breakfasts to choose from full English, omelettes, egg benedictine and porridge with maple syrup and toasted pecans, to pork & leak sausage with bacon sandwich. All the the staff were very polite and friendly. The Hope and Anchor has been a beautifully restored property, serving a great selection of beers and wines, also an excellent selection of meals. A five minutes walk from the town centre. Would recommend to family and friends.

Highly recommend the accommodation and the pub and restaurant, there was a bonus of outside pizza ovens and bar and tea/coffee too - wonderful. The room was comfortable, everything I needed was in the room and the location was a dream by the river and really quiet.

The floorboards in our room was exceptionally noisy. And the mattress uncomfortable.

Car parking could be a challenge as it was so busy, but we managed. More room in the bathroom would have been good.

The view is fantastic, breakfast was delicious 😋 The room was clean and modern. It would be great if there was a chair in the room so we could admire the view but we only booked a small room last minute so that may be why. We had a brilliant time, Ross on Wye is a lovely place to visit, the walk into the town is quick and there is a fab bakery round the corner which we would recommend. Big car park made it really easy.

Booking.com failing to do there job

The place was fantastic but booking.com failed to make the booking properly and took hours to sort out. Good job the staff weren't as bad as booking.com

Sadly the kitchen was closed as Tuesday is a quiet night in the area, and not much open in the immediate local area. Was able to order food to the lodge.

There was no space in the car park so we had to park in the town. It was a lovely sunny day and there was an event on so appreciate that it was probably a lot busier than usual but would have made the stay better if we could have got parked up easily.

Room was decorated to a very high standard and the bathroom was lovely and spacious, the views from the room were wonderful. Staff all very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was beautiful.

Everything was as expected and delightful! The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the breakfast was exceptional and the service was very efficient. We enjoyed the stay and accommodation enormously! The location was near perfect for visits to Ross itself and Hereford.

Less than friendly exchange between staff in front of guests.

The young lady in the outside coffee shop was very helpful and friendly when we struggled to find someone not too busy to sign us in. But after that everyone was very helpful. The setting is excellent and breakfast was very enjoyable. The pub nearby was a great alternative when the site restaurant was closed on Tuesdays. Nice walks on riverside. It's a very nice spot to stay.

the food was excellent, the main bonus was the friendliness of the staff. everyone was friendly and helpful made you feel very welcome. The area was very pretty and very clean.
