Our standard double room was on -2 floor, wifi was poor. Tv was part of the room, but it was placed on the table next to the bed, instead of opposite to the bed. Therefore if you want to watch it, need to turn your head cross the room. Could have been on the opposite wall, or so. Cleaniness can get better in corners and behind the furnitures. (Fallen Nescaffee sache with spiderweb under the table.) Ome side of the double bed had no bedside table, or any type of furniture to leave your personal belongings for the night. I really missed it Over all the room, bathroom and bed was clean. We would likely visit again, would choose a different room, if we can.

I originally booked a dog friendly room but decided to leave my dog at home with my daughter and contacted the hotel in advance to let them know I no longer needed a dog friendly room however this was not changed and I would have preferred a different room but all in all a good stay

Bedroom very small with no dressing table and this made it impossible to blow dry hair etc. Bathroom very dated and in need of an upgrade.

Hotel itself is lovely in the communal areas but the bedroom/bathroom was very dated and in need of an upgrade. Great views from hotel. Excellent breakfast.

The cleanliness of the corridor outside my room wasn't brilliant, it didn't look like it was hoovered during my stay (dust along the edges). It would have been useful to have a menu in my room for reference, but there wasn't one. With the hotel being an old building, there was constant creaking floors, noisy plumbing, voices heard from the corridor/other rooms and doors opening/closing. If you are a light sleeper, this could be problematic.

The matress was exceptional, honestly one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in. The hotel itself was well kept, with a good standard of decor throughout. Bar and restaurant both well kept. I loved the availability of single rooms at brilliant prices, great value for money. Plenty of parking near property. Great access to the South West Coast Path and an easy walk to the harbour (although, a steep hill).

Larger variety of yoghurts would of been good, beautiful hotel but sadly the location was just that bit further out from the centre than we would of preferred, dinner was rushed, 3 courses in 30 minutes ruined the ambience me and my partner were hoping for.

Staff were friendly, breakfast was lovely, very nicely decorated throughout, clean premises.

The room cleanliness was dire dirt on all skirtings, headboard , pictures , room not hovered bathroom dust thick on tiles , shower base mould on tiles , 6 cracked floor tiles!!! No shampoo , no soap in dispenser

Stain on bed side but they did cleaned it off for me- however it felt a bit dirty after seeing this so obvious in the room . The bathroom light didn’t work , spa an additional price- should be included for all prices.

what a gem of a place. staff, food, and accommodation were all O.K The only downside is that the location was good for parking, but you will need to walk up and down steep hills to get to Torquay.

The cracking of movement above due to the old wooden floor boards. The décor was a bit dated and the beds could be more modern and more comfortable.

We have stayed here before, breakfast choices have been scaled down a bit, but plenty of what was on offer. We had been visiting family and arrived back at the hotel at 11.15pm after a long drive. We wanted a nightcap to take up to our room but even though the bar manager was there he would not serve us as he was cashing up, I did not need to pay as my credit card was linked to my room, but the answer was still no ? I thought as we were staying there this was a bit off.

Room 142 Beautiful updated bathroom, lovely sea views, the bedroom was a little bit tired, could do with some TLC, lovely and big though. Lots of different places to sit downstairs with different views for my parents who are in their 80s and 90s.
