Location was perfect! Extremely clean! Extremely comfortable! Very spacious. Great host and helpful. Everything you would need is there so it feels like home. Not something I’ve experienced elsewhere. I would highly recommend and definitely will return. Price was very fair, for 1 night, 3 people, booked just the day before.

A small thing but bath towels were too small. A warning about the steep driveway might have been helpful. Maybe smaller chairs in the kitchen?

Well equipped, nice to find cafetiere! Comfortable beds. Lovely views from upstairs especially. Peaceful. Good advice about restaurants.

No complaints - it was one of our favourite locations to stay on the whole trip.

This was a fantastic retreat in the Lake District. It is an attached accommodation to the main house, but heard no noise at all. Great for a family with a large double room upstairs and a twin room downstairs. Very nice sitting room to relax in, play games, have tea, etc. It is surrounded by fields with several dozen sheep and amazing views of the region. Very clean, well appointed kitchen, and a short drive to Keswick (not walkable if you are getting groceries, etc).

It would have been nice if it had a garden to the back to appreciate the views more, as that's where the best view was which you couldn't see from the front garden.

We had a lovely visit to Keswick for one night and this property was just perfect for us. It would definitely suit longer stays as it’s very homely and has everything needed for a comfortable cosy stay after walks and activities, in beautiful surroundings. It’s a 10 minute drive to Keswick centre - shops, cafes, bars, lake cruises and more.. we were able to get a taxi in and back for the evening when going for a meal and we were lucky to find a live singer was performing in a quirky bar called The Crafty Baa, and there are a few lovely places to try. The owners provided us with helpful directions and a map link to find the property, and a code to get the key, which was very straightforward. All in all, a lovely stay.

Lovely bedrooms with a lake view from the bed, very warm house and a very warm shower (we had a wet day on the hills), and games (I was thoroughly beaten at Scrabble!). To be recommended.

If I had to pick a negative it would only have to be how steep the drive way is, felt a little uncomfortable parking the car on it so make sure your handbrake is good but you can park outside the gates if you are that worried. That would be my only negative everything else was very good.

Location was lovely along with the views. Property was very clean and smart and we wished we had booked it for longer. The property was well presented and exceeded our expectations. Will certainly book again.

Our stay was limited by family work schedules so we could only stay for 2 nights. Far too short!

Wonderful location, scenic and close to interesting walks/places to visit. The cottage was warm - very welcome in February - comfortable & spacious. The owners were lovely and helpful right from the booking onwards. The directions given were fool proof and parking was more than adequate. The cottage was probably the cleanest one we've ever stayed in and the views from the windows were beautiful in all directions. Soft furnishings and bedding were of a high standard & in gentle colours and textures which made for a relaxing atmosphere in the evenings when we stayed in and played the board games provided. We have been staying in the Lakes as a family regularly for many years in different locations and different types of accommodation and we honestly think this is the one that suits us best. A lovely and totally relaxing stay. We will be returning! Thank you!
