    Everything met or exceeded expectations

Excellent food, might be pub food but good fresh ingredients cooked well. Superb home made chips. Welcoming staff and hosts. Lovely location and building of great character. Excellent beer and even a sunset!

Floors are extremely creaky, every step at night filled me with a dreadful guilt. The road to this place can be a little much for the less experienced traveler.

Great atmosphere, location, nice restaurant downstairs, helpful owners. Plenty of parking.

First of all, as you approach the Inn, you are instantly wowed by the incredible setting and view - such a beautiful and peaceful spot. All of the staff were friendly and extremely helpful. The room was spacious, and very clean and comfortable. We ate dinner and breakfast there, and all meals were delicious - especially the hand cut chips and onion rings! We are looking forward to staying there again soon 😀

Fantastic staff, nothing too much trouble. Very welcoming. Food was excellent. Gorgeous cooked breakfast. Rooms really comfortable. We would recommend if visiting Hay on Wye in rural location, elevated views.

Due to the old nature of the building (creaking floorboards/ uneven floors) there was a lot of noise when guests walked around in the room above, but otherwise a beautifully peaceful location

A beautiful location, with stunning views across the Radnor valley to the hills. The inn has lots of character & history and serves a very good breakfast and dinner.

I could have done with somewhere to set suitcase on, but it is an old property, so furnishings were inkeeping. Nice touch with bathrobe as our bathroom was separate to our room.

Location and local pub setting 👌 Food was very good and staff were friendly and interested in guests.

It would be helpful to have a shower curtain or guard around the bath - it would just be easier to rinse off without worrying about getting water all over the floor! Otherwise, there's nothing to say here: I liked everything!

This is a beautiful inn with great views, set in a very quiet countryside location. Food was really good - dinner on Friday night was very enjoyable, and breakfast on Saturday morning was absolutely excellent (not to mention with horses outside the windows to add to the view!). The room was lovely, clean and comfortable, and the whole place is so atmospheric. I love all things medieval in any case, so a stay in a fifteenth-century building was a huge plus for me. Everyone was very friendly too, including the other guests.

The heating did not work on the first night which meant that we did not want to be in our room. However this was sorted out the next day.

Only problem was not being able to stay for longer.

We found ourselves with nowhere to stay at 7.30pm on a Saturday evening having been let down by other booked accomodation. The Harp Inn came to the rescue with a fantastic meal and superb rooms all at a very reasonable price. The staff went way beyond what could reasonably be expected. What lovely people.
