There was only one towel in the room for two people . The mattress I slept on was not very comfortable as you could feel the springs and this was very noisey when you moved .

Housekeeping for each day for the rooms, to remove dirty crockery glasses etc. Bathroom really not suitable for disabiled, No grab rails for support. Floor very slippery.

Room and bathroom were a bit cold. Pub food was acceptable but no more. All acceptable but fairly basic, but then again it's not expensive so fair I guess.

breakfast was poor. food left in hot dishes for self service. about 12 eggs were congealing in the dish so not appetising. staff topped this up with more eggs despite there only being 4 people in the restaurant.

comfortable room. had dinner in pub which was very tasty. property was a one night stay between two destinations. rooms separate from pub so reduced noise factor

the shower was really crumbling away the base had rotted through and the towel rail had fallen off. It was clean but really old and broken.

Booked a large double bed Got there was giving a twin room They changed rooms for us only for it to be 2 twins pushed together and a double cover put over it Other than that...it was a great find

The room was accessed via a very steep flight of stairs which were a little tricky to navigate with a suitcase whilst wearing heels and they would be difficult for anyone with mobility issues. The room was quite cold because the radiator wasn't working properly although to be fair we were toasty warm in bed. The mattress was not in the first flush of youth and needs replacing, but there was a nice fluffy mattress topper.

The staff were lovely and very accommodating when we asked for a later check out. The room was spotlessly clean and well appointed and the decoration was fresh. There was everything we needed in the room and a neat little en-suite bathroom. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful, the staff were friendly and helpful

WiFi was very glitchey, room did have lots of marks on wall and does need a freshen up. Shower pressure wasn't great. No headboard on bed...all very basic. Shame really as the location is great

Cramped room for 2 people for 3 night stay. Poor shower over bath an old fashioned feel. Temporary fan heating no substitute for proper heating. Shower tap faulty Although understood Covid restrictions for room servicing, for the price would have expected it as an option, eg emptying of bins. Breakfast food menu limited and service inattentive except for one individual. No wine list therefore price unknown.

Well cooked evening meals from a limited menu. General manager had good customer service instincts. Nice atmosphere for a quiet drink.

The booking stated that breakfast was available but we didn't know it was actually included until it was too late. The prices of both food and drink in the pub were extortionate for the standard of food that was served. If I was to stay again I would eat elsewhere. Compared to other similar standard hotel rooms I would say it was expensive. The shower was broken as you couldn't cool the water down so after burning myself in that had to run a bath.

Location was good with large car park. Room was comfortable enough with tea/coffee making. The rooms were quiet.
