A tale of two rooms, the first room was a shocker, one of the worst I have stayed in, it was very tatty the view was terrible, the compressor was bellow the room and started about 7 am and carried on till at least 9 am,I was woken up by it. I went to reception the next day and told them to change it or I would leave, this they did without any fuss. The second room was better it was in the front and had a sea view and was quiet,so ok. The whole hotel needed decorating,it had a rundown appearance.

There was no breakfast. The view from the second room was good. Close to the beach. The price was reasonable.

Room was small and decor a bit old and worn. Bar was not open during the 3 day stay.

Location and the staff were helpful and polite. Breakfast was very good too.

Room pretty basic for the price. Noisy at times due to night workers returning at 4am. Parking is a problem - 15 spaces for 60 rooms.

Breakfast was very good. Staff were polite and helpful. View from our room was spectacular.

Great location on the seafront, walking distance to pubs etc. We advised them we would be arriving at 12 and were allowed to check in early as soon as we arrived. Clean, large room, TV easily able to log into Netflix etc, bathroom with bath & rain shower Parking right outside the hotel for £6

The ONLY thing I didn’t like was the terrible music while I was having breakfast. It was really depressing and it brought the mood down.

The sea view, the lovely room, convenient parking outside. I really loved sleeping here x

Could do with a reduced price option for breakfast. My daughter doesn’t have much for breakfast so £12 is a bit expensive. Parking is very limited and, although there was space on the esplanade itself, it does mean having to purchase parking. It would be good if the hotel could provide some assistance in cheaper parking.

Breakfast was good and had wide variety. Bed was also comfortable. And location on the esplanade was really great.

I had a full breakfast on my first morning, unfortunately it was cold although I did not get to the dining room until 9.30 pm. The following two days I had continental and the final day a full breakfast as I was leaving early to drive home. Again it was stone cold. I also question products in cooked breakfast, ie Bacon and sausages were of inferior quality. If you are going to charge £12 I do not believe this to be value for money. Unfortunately there were no evening meal facilities which meant eating out at an average cost of £53 per night. The total cost for this 4 night stay was £623 which I thought excessive and not good value for money especially in September for a short break. Also maid service was missing on two mornings even though I had vacated the room and put request on outside of door. Also ran out of refreshment facilities regularly. Two teabags per day not enough, also no biscuits.

Staff friendly and helpful, especially the receptionist on my arrival. Room clean and pleasant but rather on the small side for the rates charged although I did have a sea view at the cost of an extra £100 for the stay. I also paid £6 per day to park my car for the duration which I thought a bit excessive but had little choice as there was restrictive parking surrounding the hotel.

I guess parking could be a problem tho' it wasn't for us, but not within the staff's or owners' ability to change that.

Shower not working properly, choice of 2 temperatures of water 1) molten lava or 2) just not quite hot enough to scald, but still very hot! Hardly any parking at hotel either.

Very very limited parking, dated corridors and rooms. The lift was so small 3 people and 2 overnight bags was difficult to fit in - no idea how it would work with a wheelchair or pushchair or even a suitcase or 2! The corridors felt very dated and whilst I am sure are cleaned they didn’t feel like it. We had a twin room, it was a reasonable size but again dated and there were stains on the walls and the ceiling and hairs in the sink in the bathroom, also no hook on bathroom door (the holes where there for it) to hang clothes / towel on. The shower cubicle was very small and I bashed my arms on it and the wall numerous times whilst trying to wash my hair. We found that the noise echoed in the corridors so people walking passed, doors being slammed etc was very loud in the room and we could also hear music from the room opposite ours whilst in the room with the tv on.

    Great location and friendly staff

Room is definitely not superior double, furniture very tired, needs updating. TV was very small 22" and was perched on the fireplace, Bedside lamps mismatched, I would expect a coffee pod machine in a superior room, but just had tea/coffee making facilities. Bathroom, shower very difficult to get in and out of, and toilet is in between bath and shower, very difficult for larger people to use, sink had cracks in it, and was blocked when we arrived (fixed quickly) parking is poor paid £6 per day, told to put a cone in bay if we went out, only to find it had been moved and someone had parked in our bay. There is no bar facility, the bar is there but not used and nowhere to buy a drink at the hotel, no restaurant and no entertainment. This could be a great hotel if more effort was put into it.

Location was good. Breakfast was good. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Bed was comfortable. Room can be serviced daily if required.

Normally when we book best Western hotels there's usually couple bottles of water in the room and 32 inch TV that is on the wall but no water and the TV was very very small and placed on the dressing table , we were surprised that there was no bar for evening drinks as it was all shut up , we were surprised that there was no event planers or booklets about the hotel in the rooms , we paid full price for the room with breakfast but nothing else we could have like tea/ coffee

Bed was comfy , good towels
