The website photos are a little deceiving. It looks a lot more luxurious online! The exterior of the hotel is a little run down and the location is on a busy intersection. The breakfast took almost 50 minutes and some of it was cold when we got it.

Great location, staff were very friendly. Common areas were nicely decorated. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean.

We booked 1 double room for 2 adults and one small apartment for 3 adults. We were informed on arrival that the small apartment only accommodates 2 adults and that the mistake is on Booking.com's end. Fortunately there were able to accommodate us in a family room that had a double bunkbed. Rooms did not have air conditioning, and ventilation was minimal even with the window open at night- we would have loved an overhead fan. Rooms were beautifully decorated but could've accommodated a queen bed rather than a double for more comfort.

Lovely receptionist and common areas- beautiful decor, very cozy in a beautiful setting. Restaurant for dinner was very convenient and food was pretty good.

Pillows on the beds could be softer. The meat stew in the Gatherer was only ok. Other food was great.

Loved the building and the decor. The rooms were so cute and the attention to little details was really impressive. Staff were excellent and super accommodating. An error in our booking occurred - responsibility I think was between Booking.com and me, who made the order and then I didn't check the details of the order confirmation. Either way, the staff made the decision to give us an extra room at no cost as they had a room. This decision was not only a smart business decision, but we were soooo grateful as we had traveled quite a way to get there. The sitting room opposite the view with the Scottish music was just gorgeous.

It's a bit of a maze getting around indoors but that comes from being an old building that had additions built on over the years.

Updated rooms are nicely decorated and equiped if a bit small.

    * a good chunk of the room rate is for location & views. Could argue ...fair enough * Shower in our twin room was weak pressure and under a sloped ceiling. Not suitable for anyone 6ft+ * Breakfast process could be improved, but quality of food very good. We saw many negative reviews of the restaurants but we disagree. Menus, food and service was fine in our opinion

*character property, comfortable room * Location & views spectacular *all amenities on site

The temperature was a bit warm. Opening a few doors or windows to let in some cool air would have been nice.

The quaint property with an old world feel was lovely. Stella was a character. They were short staffed but everyone worked hard to make our stay enjoyable.

The only issue was the lack of staff. They were lovely, but clearly so run off their feet, and not enough of them. I was told that the budget for staff is extremely low. I did find the bar very dark. The ceiling was dark navy, and the lighting was a bit stark. It was better in the day. I'd lighten up the decor. The bar was practically empty and the staff went backwards and forwards between the cafe and bar. And one was vacuuming at 10pm. There aren't enough hours in the day. It's a big hotel

The Glencoe Inn is in such an smazing place. The view through the big picture windows were stunning. The hotel was lovely..very tartan and comfortable.

The pillows were very uncomfortable (extremely firm) and the rooms were quite noisy with traffic in the morning (we’d been upgraded to lakeside view but found the road noise disrupted our sleep a bit). Stella and the staff were excellent and provided professional friendly service - but we thought it quite odd that non-guest restaurant customers were turned away at 7pm (on a Sat/Sun) as they said they were closed by then to non-guests. Last thing - very minor but table cleaning items are on the breakfast bar in the middle of breakfast (between the yoghurt and juices), they could go elsewhere I think.

The location was excellent and the staff were very friendly. Our room was nice and well stocked with biscuits etc.. it is very dog friendly throughout the hotel which is amazing - and then we were so close to so many things so ideal location!

We booked a room for 3 adults for one night but on arrival they said they don’t do rooms for 3 adults and the room we booked was for 2. Not sure whose mix up that was (They said it was a booking.com mix up). We went in winter so it wasn’t busy so I feel they could have offered a single room or something to compensate that my sister had to sleep on the couch. Luckily we were only staying one night and it didn’t affect the trip too much!

Absolutely beautiful place in a great location. Breakfast was delicious and we had dinner at the pizza place attached the hotel which was great food.

The communal areas are very nice with open fires but staff would not light them for ages until well into evening, and then would only keep them lit for a certain period of time. Not sure if they are trying to cut costs and not use wood but it would have been so lovely and atmospheric if they had lit them without fuss and over-explanation! Especially in winter! Rooms are comfortable but double beds are on smaller side.

Lovely stop off as part of our Scottish roadtrip. Rooms were comfortable as were the communal areas! Very dog friendly which was appreciated and the breakfast was great.

A lot of ups and downs getting our cases to the room - but help was offered. Bathroom was really cold!

Really well situated with a view to die for. The inn is comfortable, clean, with lovely staff. The food was excellent too. It’s a rabbit warren of a property, no lifts, and traditional style bathrooms but it’s an older building, and the layout, rooms and finish is inkeeping with this. When you’re at Glencoe, prices are relative, you can’t compare to cities where there are tons of options. You’re paying for a location here. So all in, we were happy.
