    Nothing to complain about.

Everything was exceptional. My Dad and I got there, and our first impression was "crikey, we've got to go through that tiny archway" to the carpark. Then when we got inside, we were amazed. My Dad was given a free room upgrade. Sam, showed us to our rooms and we were gobsmacked. The outside of the hotel does not prepare you for the interior of the building, because the decor is stunning. The staff are so friendly. It is a family and friends run business. They can't do enough for you. The food is amazing. Everything cooked fresh to order. The portions are huge, and well worth every penny. This is a little gem in a beautiful sleepy village with a castle on the doorstep.

    Nothing, all fine.

The staff are fantastic. Really amazing, very kind and helpful. In fact, our lasting impression of the George will actually be the staff - they made it.

Our room was lovely and beds and pillows comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. Everything was super clean and well maintained. The staff were very helpful and lovely.

I can’t recommend this place highly enough! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The food at the hotel was lovely. We enjoyed meals throughout our visit, and again the service was excellent. Our room was absolutely gorgeous, immaculately clean, and had all the amenities we could possibly need. Thank you very much to all the staff for looking after us during our stay.

Some sticky handrails and table tops due to choice of anti-bacterial wipe. Outward opening ensuite doors would improve safety permitting easy evacuation should a resident fall within an ensuite. Handrail provisions could be improved at changes of level. (Observations by a retired Architect who designed for the disabled for many years.)

Breakfasts excellent. Evening meal good basic English fayre. Able to cope with special dietary requirements. Staff pleasant, friendly and very obliging.

Lovely place to stay - let down by a couple of niggles.

I was charged for a pie with a pint or glass of wine instead of the just the pie which I ordered. I was not offerred the pint or glass of wine and had already ordered a bottle of wine for the table. I did ask for gravy with my pie which did not come and it made the meal very dry. I should have asked for it again but I did not want to spoil my birthday evening. The shower was either scalding hot or freezing cold so neither of us could have one which was a shame. We could have made these things known to staff at the time but did not want to spoil our stay.

The room was lovely, the staff were welcoming and the breakfast was plentiful. The location was also beautiful and they had made an extra effort to put a table decoration out for my birthday which was much appreciated.

Our Jack Russell, Daisy, was made very welcome, but a £25 additional charge for pets seems a bit steep.

Nice welcome, great room and very comfy beds. Dog bowls and treats set out in room was a nice touch. Really excellent food - the best pub fish and chips we've had for a long time, and lovely, freshly cooked breakfast. Attractive old building, beautiful village, stunning castle and good walks along the Nunney Brook. Convenient for main roads, but feels happily secluded.

Really enjoyed the brief stay, the staff and standard of service we had was very high and the staff exceptionally helpful. The choice of food was extensive considering the location and the quality of very high levels.

The only downside was the creaky floor. I was anxious that I was waking the room next door up when I used the toilet in the night. It was expected considering the age of the building.

Staff was extremely accommodating. Breakfast was delicious.

The only gripe was I wish there were instructions on how to turn the temperature of the shower down. I was already in the bath and using the handheld shower attachment and no matter how i tried I wanted it a little bit cooler than it was.

Beautiful location, the building is beautiful and my room was lovely and well thought out, there were make up remover cloths, shower caps, the bath was huge, bed extremely comfortable. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast yummy. In my room I had a lot of choice of hot drinks, various teas, coffees.

Floorboards upstairs were a bit creaky but as it's an old building this probably can't be helped.
