The fact that we were charged a fee for paying with a debit card. If we'd known we would have paid cash...plus the email receipt doesn't reflect the additional amount. It's a small amount but it's the principal it not being told of this charge.

The room was comfortable and staff very helpful considering they had to cope with the fact that the chef/and agency chef replacement weren't available. So no meals Saturday night-quite annoying for us,if we had known we would have booked elsewhere!!!

Convenient hotel to the airport ,overnight parking ,room was lovely most comfortable bed ever . Meals available in the bar . Breakfast offered .

The bathroom we had was small and as a wet room could have a slightly better design, excess water all over the bathroom after showering. I’m sure the new managers will look at options in the coming weeks.

Overall we had a lovely stay, we met the new landlord and landlady the morning after our late check in. I can honestly say after only being in the job for one week they certainly know how to make you feel welcome. They have inherited a few small issues and are well aware and working hard to correct these and I have no doubt they will and continue do their best to improve and build a fantastic business for themselves while making their guests stay the best it can possibly be. Good luck Matt and Mags, we will return to see you again.

Some cobwebs in room. View wasn't pleasant, old storage/dumping area. More road noise than anticipated.

Breakfast was very limited. No butter for toast.

Inn taken over again so between management: no dining service on night of stay and no bar service. Morning breakfast a shambles again - self service - coffee but no milk - cereal but no milk. Toast but no butter only jam. No pastry’s left 08.15 am no fruit so one glass of juice and off to Mc Donald’s.

Unfortunately the restaurant had experienced a power cut so we couldn't eat there. Breakfast was a complimentary continental offering. I'd have preferred a cooked breakfast but the fee offering was perfectly good. The main strange thing was the complete absence of any staff on-site.

The bedrooms were very clean and the facilities were better than expected. The bed and the bed linen were very comfortable.

How the breakfast worked was not explained, also how the key to the outside worked, or which door to get back in. No staff at breakfast time to explain anything and none of the evening staff explained this either.

Don't try and communicate through Booking.com or by email, I attempted to do this several times to say I would be beyond their 9pm check in cut off but received no response. However, when I personally called them, they were wonderful and accommodating, so just cut out the middleman of technology. It also reminded me that speaking to people is infinitely nicer. There was no staff at Breakfast, so I guess it just missed a slight personal warmth at check out. Also for £84 I want better coffee than Nescafe in the room, all the teas are a good brand, so for sure they can up their coffee game.

Very friendly staff (on the phone) super comfy beds with the most incredible pillows. I arrived late and had called ahead so they arranged a convenient pick up for the key. It's a beautiful part of the country too.

Service was a little slow in pub.I think due to shortage of staff. Somebody had failed to turn up fir work that evening.

I was assured this was exceptional because of major staff and management changes; however, my daughter and I were disappointed to find an extremely limited menu offering, albeit delicious, gluten-rich pizzas during the evening, and an unhealthy gluten-loaded continental self-service breakfast. I was unable to find a disabled parking space but, I was given permission to straddle 2 parking spaces to get in/out of my car, and assisted to my upstairs room with my luggage. The George would benefit from providing a more nutritionally balanced continental breakfast with healthy protein choices such as cold cuts, cheese, yoghurt, eggs, fish or, nuts and grains, a better variety of fresh fruits and and berries and equitable choices for specific dietary needs such as vegan and gluten-free breakfasts. (A pre-oder system the evening before could be adopted to avoid unnecessary waste and to taylor breakfasts to residents whom, I have no doubt would be prepared to pay a little more for a freshly cooked breakfast.

The property was clean, the staff quickly responsive to needs, and the beds were extremely comfortable with high quality ethical, natural, vegan-friendly, British toiletries provided. accessible to walking disabled for accommodation; Dog-friendly. A typical good quality boutique country inn close to Bristol Airport access. super family friendly outdoor seating area, and good wheelchair access to bar and toilets. Good quality tea and coffee. Great choice of bottled and draft drinks, including non-alcoholic options. Thank you.
