For £375 a night we expected a little bit more. Room was perfect but some details were missing. The shower was a bit difficult to use and took a long time to go hot.

Clean, modern and allows dogs. There was a coffee machine which was ideal.

Quick and easy check in and check out. The room was clean and equipped with water bottles, lemonade, snacks and sweets which was a nice touch. Bathroom soaps were nicely scented....had everything we needed!

Room was very small (standard double). Simply not good enough for the £200+ tariff. Not enough space to provide a wardrobe or drawers. We were staying one night so didn’t matter much but the lack of space would be impossible if staying longer.

Very clean. Complimentary coffee in bar area and snacks in room. Breakfast had good choice and quick service.

Unfortunately some dust build up on the bedside tables and the towels supplied did not smell very pleasant.

The location of the property was fantastic, very close to the town centre and train station and was easy to access with the car. The complimentary snacks were also a great addition.

Quite honestly can't think of anything. Our room was quite hot and we couldn't find a reason. But there was a fan so not actually a problem!

We particularly liked the way the building had been renovated. A superb mix of up to date decor and facilities combined with original features. Great breakfast, very clean and the staff were helpful and friendly

The large numbers on the doors are tacky giving a hostel/doom vibe. Shower rose was so large in the small shower space and had to stand in corner to not get hair wet.

The rooms are small and gloomy: probably because the design of the hotel is trying to keep the spirit of the former police station that used to be there before the hotel. Windows cannot be opened and this creates the feeling of stiffness. Bathrooms are very small and the water from the shower flows on the floor. Both rooms were worn out. Prices are a bit too high for what it offers.

The staff: great people, that were supportive from the first moment. We had a problem with our first room and they did all they could to improve our stay. For the second night they even changed our room with a better one. The breakfast: good and somewhat fancy (in a good note). You have good options to choose from, and the breakfast is really good and plentiful. Clean bedsheets. The parking: it has its own parking and the staff helped us to get a parking spot.

Microwave had a fault that we were told could be fixed by shaking the door! Rather than this which indicates a fitting fault, possibly a short, fix it!! When you book a room with kitchenette, you expect it all to work Wasn't too happy about the drunk guests at 3am having a loud conversation in the stairwell either. Thankfully they didn't wake my son
