One of the reasons I choose the hotel was their restaurant. I arrived on the Saturday, had an excellent meal, but was told at breakfast there would be no food in the evenings as the restaurant was closed, a cheese sand which was suggested. On my return in the evening I raised the problem with the staff and, after much discussion had an excellent Sunday roast. Monday night I had fish and chips brought in from a local chip shop, Tuesday a local club had a dinner booking so food was no problem providing I ate early! and Wednesday the restaurant was open. I would like to stress that the two staff I dealt with were excellent and made sure I did not go hungry.

Nothing, it ticks all the boxes. We will keep going back!

We love staying at The Fox Hall Inn and have revisited many times now because it is convenient, spotlessly clean, very comfortable, the food is amazing and Chris and staff thoroughly attentive. They are even dog friendly and extremely accommodating when it comes to allowing furpanioms everywhere. Chris’s communication is excellent and always makes us giggle and feel welcome.

We had a Lovely stay for a wedding at a near by location, the staff were so helpful even before we arrived. Rooms were great, we had two as we were with a Family member. The breakfast in the morning was perfect and clean a good representation of the stay in general. John and James were so accommodating even for my partners dietary requirements! A serious 11 out of 10

The place itself was well done out and very clean and tidy. The rooms were of a good high quality and immaculate. Chris and james were exceptional hosts always happy to help with whatever we needed. The staff were really polite and friendly. The location was perfect for us both. They even made sure our dog max was looked after and always made a fuss of him.

Very little. A bit of background road noise from A66 immediately outside, but not severe. (The new stretch of dual carriageway about to be built will take all A66 through traffic away from the pub.)

Convenient location, historic building, plenty of parking, beautiful view southwards over Holmedale and excellent bar.

    Absolutely nothing 10/10

This property was stunning, our room was a very good size. It was immaculately clean and the shower was incredible. The staff here treated us like royalty. So warming and kind I can’t thank you both enough for making me and my children feel so welcome and at home. The food was Devine and cooked to perfection we couldn’t have asked for a nicer place to stay.

The room was a bit too hot for me but most people would appreciate that. Nothing that opening the windows couldn’t solve.

Friendly staff, always happy to help. I had my dog and was able to go everywhere apart from the main restaurant. Food good too.

The only downside was that our room faced the main road and as a result, when we couldn't sleep because the room was so hot, the windows were only opened for 5 minutes as the traffic was so loud! We have a German Shepherd and he found it hard to settle because of the temperature. My partner went to get him some fresh cold water, from the cold water tap, but it just ran hot. This really is not a complaint, though, just a simple warning about the water etc would have been helpful. And to be able to regulate the heating!

We loved how friendly the staff were and the meal we had in the evening was excellent 👌 Considering it was a last minute booking over the Easter weekend, we were very lucky. It's dog friendly, and we were shown a field where we could exercise our dog, as the pub is situated on a main road. Our request of some cooked chicken for our dog at dinner time, was no problem at all and he was given some more at breakfast too! Would highly recommend.

Situation, clean airy rooms, restaurant, staff and value for money!

This is the second time i have stayed at The Fox Hall Inn and haven’t been disappointed in anyway! My wife and I had had a long drive from London on our way to Cairnryan to catch the ferry. The Fox Hall Inn is in the main route to Cairnryan and was the ideal spot to stay the night! Chris and his team made us very welcome from the moment we arrived. He personally showed us two rooms and let us have the choice of either one which was great. We quickly left our bags off and freshened up prior to going to the restaurant to have something to eat. The food and drink were fab and not too expensive either. Our room was modern, clean and met all our needs. Breakfast in the morning was personally served by Chris who was the perfect host! I can highly recommend it and can’t wait for our next visit!

I'd really be clutching at straws to find anything negative to say. It was a great stay from start to finish and more than I had expected.

This is a lovely property, the fire was on when I arrived, with a very welcoming pub setting. I checked in and then went down to food in the restaurant which was delicious. A large portion and very good value for money. The room itself has clearly recently been decorated, super clean and spacious/lovely views. Peaceful. Great for what I needed. The breakfast was also a large portion and very well cooked. On the whole, the staff were friendly, talkative and have a real gem of a place here. Yes, it's on a main road but you wouldn't know about it once you're inside. Super location for a pitstop for work for me. Will definitely book again.

Location is on a busy main road so can be noisy. 2 minute drive for an amazing farm shop though.

Excellent pub with lovely decor. Friendly staff who go above and beyond for you. Great food for evening meal and breakfast. Enjoyed our stay. Also dog friendly.
