Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomI had expected breakfast but that was my error in not noticing and cafe very close. Steep steps up to door. Rail would be helpful.
Fabulous decor. Great supplies - loved having the chocolate biscuits and full bottles of toiletries to use.

AustraliaNothing much to report, an enjoyable stay.
Stayed here for 2 nights whilst on a roadtrip holiday from Australia. On arrival met the host Louise who was very helpful and friendly, not only showing us our room, but also giving us helpful information. She gave us the bus timetable for number 2 bus to go straight into Bath which stops out the front. Louise also let us know of a nearby cafe that does great breakfast and coffee. Room was very comfortable for an enjoyable stay with plush bedding and everything you could possibly want….nice toiletries, even chocolate biscuits and alder berry drink. There were also multiple tea/coffee choices. Wifi worked well. Car parking is available free to guests at rear of property. We were lucky to be there on a Friday night when the bar is open and had a few drinks, meeting the lovely barmaid which we enjoyed chatting with. She also gave us helpful info for our day exploring the historic city centre. The actual bar/lounge area is great with lots of interesting things to look at. We were informed we could buy the fish and chips from across the corner and bring them back to eat in the lounge area and use the pubs plates, utensils etc so we did one night. A lovely stay at a lovely pub with great hosts. Would recommend to others wanting a nice pub stay in Bath.

United KingdomEverything was fine! The only point of improvement was that for any nighttime bathroom visits, the doors are very creaky and I was very conscious of the people in the rooms either side of us!
My sister and I came here for the Jane Austen festival and the decor of our room could not have been more perfect. The lady manning the desk on the Friday night was the loveliest lady. Super friendly and accommodating. We ate fish and chips from over the road at one of the tables in the bar. It was absolutely perfect. The location is excellent too. The bus stops just over the road and couldn't have been easier. We loved everything about our stay here and will definitely be returning.

AustraliaThe separate bathroom meant you had to be very prepared when leaving the room, however as it is private you can leave toiletries in the room.
The check in process was delightful, the lady who greeted us was very helpful and had a bus timetable and food recommendations available to make our trip easy. The room was very colourful and cosy with tea, coffee and biscuits provided. The separate private bathroom was a short walk from our room and was very tidy with some toiletries available. There is a bus stop only 200metres from the front door with a bus only 8 mins into the town centre.

United KingdomDid not dislike anything..we had a brilliant stay, only wish we booked longer.
Beautifully presented room with en -suit roll top bath. Everything was thought of with the ample tea making facilities, including hot chocolate and lattes. lovely thought with the chocolate biscuits and bar of chocolate on the bedside table. Safe parking. Down stairs there is a wonderful exotic bar with friendly staff. This gem of a B&B was situated only a couple of miles from Bath City centre with a bus stop right outside the door with a regular cheap bus service 7 days a week. Unfortunately the bar is currently only open on Fridays which actually was our check in day...Brilliant. Would definitely stay here again.......

Louise the owner was great. She wellcame us and provide us a map, a bus schedule to go to the center and come back and recomendations to where have a good breakfast. The bus stop is just in front on the door, and going to the center was very easy and close. A very quiet neighborhood to have a good sleep. You could also bring your dinner and have it in the pub downstairs. It has no music, so it was not a problem at all. On top of that, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and a chocolate bar in the room. If I go to Bath again, I will probably repeat.
