One room it was not possible to close the window even with the help of staff. This made the room cold and noisy.

    Central location. Historic building.

We had a standard room which was very small with not much storage space. Could have done with a little tlc. With that said we were only there for 2 nights so it wasn't really a problem. Large shower room was great.

We thought the staff were amazing. Very friendly and welcoming. The food and service in the restaurant was excellent. Perfect central location to explore Ludlow. Parking great! Well worth paying for.

I was a little disappointed that we had to pay for parking considering the price of a room for the night and it was a private car park that is park of the hotel.

I loved the character of the building and the facilities within the room were very good. The level of service we received was excellent from the staff.

The only fault I can think of is the lack of parking, but there's plenty nearby.

We reported a fault with bedside light which wasn't repaired. It was a bit cold in the bedroom but we couldn't put the heating on.

Good food for dinner and breakfast. Availability of car parking and lift. Location close to Ludlow centre. Very helpful staff. Room kept clean and tidy each day.

Although all the staff friendly and nice, a little disorganised in the restaurant some guests where getting a bit upset, although personally our service and meal was good. Unfortunately when our room was cleaned, our bathroom was not and we had to request new towels, but this was soon rectified.

Nice breakfast, cooked to order, large well fitted Bedroom, every thing you could want. Nice recently re-furbished bathroom. Enjoyed a very pleasant evening meal well cooked and nicely presented. Would recommend and would stay again if revisiting the area.

It was a really lovely visit. If anything could have made things even better it would be some signage for the car park, from the road, as it was easy to miss in moving traffic. I also felt the breakfast was expensive and the ingredients in the cooked breakfast could have been better quality (e.g Thick good quality bacon instead of streaky well cooked bacon). The teapot was also really dirty on the outside which wasn't pleasant to look at. But to be fair, we could have asked for another one and I'm sure the lovely staff would have put this right.

Excellent communication, prior to our stay, and the hotel were very accommodating of our needs. Staff were all really friendly and helpful throughout the duration of our visit. The room was clean and tidy and tastefully decorated. The hotel was well located for all the local sights and amenities.

The noise from the fans and generators outside.

I stayed here whilst attending events at the Ludlow Piano Festival. I had liaised with the Hotel before I arrived to arrange a meal slightly earlier than when the restaurant opened in order to enable me to eat before attending a performance. The hotel couldn't have been more helpful. The food was also stunning (lamb shank). I stayed two nights and staff were friendly and helpful and my room was lovely. The ONLY criticism I have is the very loud noise from the back of the building which I could hear even with doors closed. This was either from an extractor fan or air conditioning but you could hear it constantly. I hope to stay again at this hotel but next time (now I know this) I will ask for a room at the front. Again - this is my only negative and why I have not given five stars. Otherwise it was lovely - especially for a solo woman visiting the town. I felt safe and well looked after. Thank you.

Would have liked a small refrigerator in the room ..Or possibly a communal small fridge on each landing ..With fresh milk ..water etc We have stayed in places that offer this and its very popular ...

Picked the hotel mainly for location ..it was perfect right in the centre...car parking at £7.50 per night which was reasonable...Friendly greeting on arrival ...Room as described as it was the only one available we didnt have a choice on that ...Quiet Hotel except for banging doors first thing in the morning ...Not sure if that was possibly because we were on first floor ? maybe kitchen or office ? ....Breakfast was freshly cooked to order good quality ...Just dont ask for your bacon to be cooked a LITTLE more it came out cremated : )....All in All a nice stay

Noise from the street. Rooms difficult to cool down without windows open - hence the noise. Bathroom was almost same size as the bedroom (!) Breakfast was meagre and the additional fees (parking and breakfast) seemed a little steep given the cost of the small rooms. Felt like it was a little cheeky on the hidden charges. Full English was tiny. Service staff at breakfast were “effective”. Not the expectation of the service anticipated given the price bracket and historical wealth of the hotel.

Exceptional History. Perfect Location. Very very charming.
