Anna and Robert were kind and attentive. Anna offered to dry out our wet coats and shoes in the boiler room. We were walking the Offa's Dyke path and got drenched that day, so this was very helpful. She made sure that we were happy and comfortable. She brought us a small bottle of milk for our tea and coffee.

The outside is looking tired / unloved but I think this is down to new the new owners settling.

The rooms are really lovely and very comfortable. The staff / owners could not have been nicer. Nice breakfast but fabulous coffee.

Everything! Lovely location! Beautifully decorated The owner was very knowledgeable about the local places of interest, great tips on places to eat. Very accommodating in heating the hot tub up for us. Probable my favourite places I have stayed in Wales, and we visit at least once a month.

We were walking the last 2 stages of the Offa Dyke Path last week. Rob picked us up from Tremeirchion and dropped us back the next day to follow the path, so kind. Anne-Marie and Rob made us feel so welcome, we had an amazing stay. Fantastic facilities and delicious breakfast. Great beds and pillows. The bathroom was spacious and well equipped with soaps and fluffy towels. We continued our journey the next day to Prestatyn with our water bottles filled up with filtered cold water. Thanks again for all your help and kindness.

Another great stay at Tafarn y Waen with Elaine and Pete as hosts. The service was great, the hosts were polite, friendly and approachable, and the breakfast in the morning was amazing.

Whilst cooked breakfast was absolutely fabulous with poached eggs, delicious sausage and bacon , hash brown, mushrooms and beans etc, perhaps some chopped fruit/yoghurt/muesli first would be welcome - but honestly one of best cooked breakie we’ve had x

Everything, from the very comfortable extra large bed to the fresh milk in the fridge, to the lovely bottle of Prosecco left in our room on our arrival, to the wonderful breakfast cooked to order was just what we needed for our journey home on the south coast. Thank you both.

Nothing really, if I was to make one constructive comment it would be, as in essence the bar area closes at 8.00pm may be there could be some beers or miniature spirits in the fridge, but this is just a minor point.

Quite and friendly establishment Elaine and Peter really looked after us and made us feel welcome, the breakfast was superb. we especially liked the fact we had an external entrance which meant we could come and go as we pleased. We had the room with the hot tub in a private garden area which Pete heated twice for us, lovely stay would heartily recommend.

Absolutely nothing, to be honest. Our only regret is not staying for another couple of nights.

The room and decor were beautiful; modern but with traditional touches. The hosts Elaine and Pete were lovely, warm and welcoming, and the facilities were great. The hot tub was fantastic, stayed warm for a long time, and was perfectly sized.

This B&B is really authentic, the welcome is so warm, and the place is charming . My room was tastefully decorated. The english breakfast was delicious. My only regret is to have spent only one night there, I should have booked it for more time! If you're looking for a place where comfort, impeccable service, and beauty come together, look no further.

The property was beautiful, clean and tidy and Elaine and Pete were a lovely friendly couple who had thought of everything, the extra touches like hot chocolate and kitkats really showed they thought of everything, especially from a non tea and coffee drinker.
