We were on the second floor, no working lift to that floor. The bed sloped down to the left and towards the headboard. The room gathered a lot of dust over the few days we were there, room was not serviced but someone had been in and left the door open. We did report this and expected a follow up from a manager but no one took time to aknowledge this. Someone had spilt crumbs on the stairs on the friday, they were still there on the sunday when we checked out.

The bathroom, toilet were very clean. The bed linen was clean too. Excellent view from the window. Lounge area was very clean and smart.

Unfortunately the Shower was just a trickle of water , lift wasn't working so four flights of stairs room was clean but had no soap or shower gel etc... in there dispensers, no hairdryer has described, breakfast was tiny portions. The hotel is lovely and well located a bit dated but just the little things marked it down, staff was nice friendly only the one night so can't complain to much for what we paid. Sea view was lovely

Very very weak coffee in restaurant. Strange that they supply numerous coffee sachets in room, but such weak as water, undrinkable ,coffee for breakfast.

Bathroom floor was a bit dirty. Shower fittings were loose in the shower cubicle - in room 218 You have to pay £6 for parking on top of the cost. It's alot of stairs even to get to the 2nd floor. Not particularly quiet as its an old building.

Good location, nice room, asked for an extra pillow which was no trouble, reception staff very helpful. Lovely building. Comfortable bed, value for money. Staff assisted straightaway with alot of noise coming from the floor/room in the area at 11pm at night, but not what you want when you have just driven 300 miles, need to instill quiet time!

The lack of facilities for people who are not too good on their feet. I think that generally there is a lack of acknowledgement in Painton for people with disabilities. The bathroom facilities are not brilliant. I tried to have a shower but it was cold?We had our grandson with us but they did not seem to acknowledge it as there was no sleeping arrangements for him. The lift was out of order unfortunately.

The location is good for the sea front. The staff are very helpful. The hotel is pleasant and I appreciate they are trying to make a go of it.

Limited breakfast menu , bathroom had plaster coming of ceiling . No toilet roll holder , was left on the floor , shower cubicle very small . TV in room kept loosing picture / signal Builders in the corridor working when going for breakfast

The shower cubicle is the smallest I've ever seen, my husband just about managed ti fit in the water pressure in the shower is terrible,

The hotel was a bit smelly in the corridors of smoke, the breakfast was cold, and only one member of staff was on duty in the breakfast room, trying his hardest to serve a hotel full of guests. Well done George, feel sorry for you. The shower cubicle was very tight, and no water pressure. This hotel needs a lot of work and improvements done ASAP

The room was very hot and uncomfortable, it wasn’t very clean, dirty socks left up the side of wardrobe, chewing gum on carpet, rubbish under the bed, filthy mattress protector. Incredibly noisy guests at nighttime in the corridor at gone midnight. A very obnoxious man on reception.

We were next door to a barking dog until 12.45am . The room was fine but shower was tiny for my husband to shower in. A floor mat to soak up the water would be better & 2 hand towels for drying wet hair. Location was great and sea view was amazing.

The ensuite in both our rooms were quite smelly. Whether there was a problem with drains I don't know. Hotel advertised that they served dinner, they don't. Advertised entertainment, there was none. Lift was out of order all weekend. We weren't told about the £6 a day parking charge. We have stayed at several properties in Paignton over many years and have never had to pay extra for parking. The rooms were extremely warm, no fan available.

The view. The rooms were lovely. Wish the bed in double room was against the opposite wall as we would have been able to watch the sunrise and sunset from bed. The hotel was clean and the staff were really helpful.

Sockets hanging off the wall, bathroom wasn't that clean, curtains hanging off the rails and no bar and only saw ine member of staff. Wont be staying again.

The shower was hot but very tight squeeze to get in and out, and im only a size 12... bed was quite comfortable
