Very nice family guest house close to the sea and facilities, very friendly staff.

    • Standard Twin Room with Shared Bathroom
    • Stayed 1 night

Only a mistake on my part that the original booking did not have an ensuite and the shared bathroom and toilets were on a different floor.

We upgraded to a larger room with ensuite. This was a nice family room and very comfortable despite the extra stairs. Excellent cooked breakfast. The property was close to local attractions and facilities including places to eat.

I thought it was a little overpriced for what we got.

The breakfast was fine and well cooked. The room was comfortable and the location excellent.

WiFi signal is not great in the apartment - I had to hotspot off my phone to do a little work.

Great location with parking, comfortable beds.. dog friendly, breakfast was delicious - ideal for our family weekend!

As others have said, building and decor a bit tired. Thought the price was a little high but that may have been reflective of the area. Bar not open while we were there, apparently only certain nights - don't think this was clear in the description. That said, some good pubs within easy walking distance so wasn't an issue for us.

Excellent position. Comfortable rooms. Great breakfast

Nothing I didn't like but some travellers should be aware that you have to climb a lot of stairs to some rooms, so not so suited for those with poor mobility, dodgy knees etc.

Really good breakfast with extensie choice in nice dining room. Friendly staff.

We were greated by a lovely member of staff who showed us to our room. We chose a room with ensuite bath room as we didn't want to share. There was a bar and breakfast room down stairs. The breakfast room was set up really well and dogs were welcome. There was plenty of choice for breakfast ie. Fried breakfast, cereal and toast. The whole place clean and friendly. Reall lovely place to stay.

As a non smoker with severe chest problems, I found it very difficult to spend the evening in the bar where customers stood right by the open doors all smoking and allowing the smoke to blow straight back into the bar when they should have used the covered area in the carpark.

The breakfast was the best ever, staff and owner were all very friendly and helpful, very accommodating.

The bed was a bit on the firm side for my liking, but that's just personal preference ! Lots of seagulls squawking in the very early hours of the morning ! Nothing that the hotel can do about that and we recognise it is a seaside town. The room was very warm & airless a fan would have helped.

The location was excellent, staff were very friendly, lovely cooked breakfast, rooms were clean with almost everything needed for a comfortable stay, we could also park and check in early, which was very much appreciated , quirky old building which we all liked, would stay here again and would recommend to others, oh and we loved the cosy little bar in the hotel too !

The staff were very helpful and accommodating for a group of us going to a wedding nearby, they allowed us to check in early so we didn't miss any time at the reception. The breakfast the following morning was fantastic, would stay again and highly recommend to anyone else visiting the area.

The guest house was ideal and met all of my needs and expectations. I have nothing negative to say about it.

My room was comfortable and quiet. The hosts are wonderful, and the breakfast excellent. The location is great, just a short walk to the small harbour and pubs and restaurants. It was an ideal base to explore the region.

Could say on website that the stairs to the room are quite steep, could cause issues for people with mobility issues. Lovely big bath but did have previous guests hair still in it! Hotel quite tired, could use some updating. Parking limited. Some attention to approach, ie,driveway/plants would improve first impressions.

cooked breakfast good but no pastries or fruit/yogurt offered.

Very central to the centre of activity, a short walk to the sea. Room and en suite were clean and comfy, breakfast was very good served in a nice room and environment. I only met two members of staff who were chatty and approachable. Private car park outside the door. I will stay again

A seasonal thing - very noisy seagulls! As it was warm we needed the window open, and they were really quite loud. But then we were by the sea, so not the inns fault :)

Good place to stay for a night, central location. Good breakfast in a lovely, sunny room decorated with owner’s art (for sale).

    • Standard Twin Room with Shared Bathroom

There was no toilet or shower in our room. I had to go down one flight of 14 steps to use the shower, and the toilet seat was very loose and dangerous. I reported this to Simon who said he would see to it, which he did straight away. There was a lack of toilet rolls in the lower toilet on the first floor, sometimes only with half a roll on the shelf. There was no view out of the window in room 5, only a flat roof with plantpots on it.

The breakfast was good, the room was very nice and the bed was very comfortable, and the location was excellant and close to the harbour.
