The Duck House was perfectly located for exploring the area, all the major sites were no more than 30 minutes drive. A visit to RSPB Arne is a must.The flat was equipped with everything you could need while on holiday and comprehensive instructions were provided for the appliances. Wool itself has a lovely bakers selling great pasties, a well stock Spar and the Black Bear pub was great for a pint.

No decaf coffee; seriously, the ONLY thing not wholly positive that I could find to say about staying here. The host assures me this will be rectified as it was something just not previously considered.

I stayed on business and was bored with soul-less chain hotels and find pub-hotels a bit hit n miss whatever the price-point. So I went left-field and picked a flat/apartment, something a lot of my colleagues also do now. If you're coming on holiday, it's located in one of the nicest parts of the country. The location was perfect for my needs, being only 4 miles from where I was working and no traffic on the route. If the weather were better, I would have cycled each day. There's just enough in Wool to keep you fed and watered; Lulworth offers more but it's both seasonal and tourist-priced. However Duck House has more than enough to self-cater. The bed was comfy, the shower powerful and hot. The kitchen is well equipped; the local biscuits very tasty. The dining room table and excellent wifi allowed me to catch up with some online work. The sofa is perfectly placed for watching the Netflix-equipped TV. There is a designated parking space. Instructions for using the property and facilities are clear and the host was available at the other end of a SMS for anything out of the ordinary.

Location was perfect - we had a wedding to attend at Lulworth Castle which is 5-10 minutes away from the Duck House. It was located in the village with shops less than 5 minutes walk away so getting groceries was really easy. Everything we could have needed was available in the house. The house does sleep 4 - there is one large king bed and one single room and the fourth person sleeps on the sofa bed in the lounge. We heard the ducks but did not see them!

The house was lovingly decorated, the facilities were great and we found it extremely comfortable.

It was not set up for 4 adults although booked for 4 of us. My daughter slept on the couch in the lounge on the first night. No bedding or towels were set out. It was only after calling the housekeeper in the morning that we were told about the sleeper chair and bedding in the linen cupboard. No apology was offered. My daughter also found two fleas on her body.

Light and sunny welcoming space in a good location. We really enjoyed the garden.

A handle in the bath would have been of benefit . I struggled and held onto the basin . Mother did not shower . She is in her 80 but very fit and active . She managed the steps without a problem

Couple of niggles. Grill/oven didn't work and instructions were only thing missing from the booklets. Plus light at the door wasn't working but they'd provided a torch! Stairs to access 1st floor are scary!! 😱

Perfect base for house hunting in the area. Everything we could need for a self catering stay. Location was ideal and flat was really comfortable. With foul weather, it was lovely to snuggle up.
