The steak I wanted was off the menu, but there were plenty of alternatives.

Great location, easily accessible. The staff were polite and cheerful, in fact very friendly and could not do enough to help. The room was airy and the bed was very comfortable.

Bathroom needed some Maintanace. Breakfasts were better on previous stays and so was the carvery ,but ok. Someone else’s dinner and drinks was charged to our room but sorted swiftly when this was pointed out on checking out.

first night flashing christmas lights all night but guess they had only just put them up but ok the other two nights. Shower room could have been better but they are in the process of redorcating so obviously will mprove.

The rooms are comfortable but bathroom was a little tired and rooms need modernising to bring up to date. Breakfast had plenty of choice and a good help yourself buffet but having a pot of tea or coffee for the table would be preferable to the flasks provided.

The staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was freshly cooked and good quality bacon and sausages. The location of the hotel by the coast and close to the towns of Holt, Cromer and Sherringham. The bar area is warm and inviting with funky furniture.

We arrived late-ish 7:35pm, yet we were still able to get a full dinner menu despite the kitchen closing at 8pm The room was cosy, the bed was comfortable, the food was excellent with a good range of meals available from carvery to burgers, and of course fish. At all times, all of the staff were friendly and prepared to talk to us, offering advice where needed, or just being welcoming and friendly. I would thoroughly recommend The Dormy House Hotel.

As a tall person the vaulted ceilings mean you have to be careful moving around but a minor problem really and worth it to be up high with fabulous views and skylight windows.

My Premium King room was spacious with a bathtub, balcony and amazing views out to sea over.fields. The food was exceptional with obvious care and attention to detail. The staff were an absolute delight. The location has easy access to West Runton beach for a spot of fossil hunting. The bathtub in the room is a perfect touch.

Up grading the bathrooms would improve the overall stay, however the price point would need to rise to accommodate the expenditure.

The price of £85 per night per room including breakfast always meant this would be a budget hotel. However it exceeded our expectations in the areas we have highlighted. Our doom was duel aspect, overlooking the sea with fluffy towels and en-suite. Wi-Fi was free as was the parking The bathroom was a little tired but it all worked. For what we paid we felt we had value for money +++

The email said £10 per dog for the duration but we were charged £20- when we questioned it we were told the email was wrong it’s £10 a night- smashed tiles in toilet, shower wasn’t great and yea and coffee wasn’t topped up in room

Room 102 could really do with a make over , a bit tired! Same with the bathroom , Shower 🚿 has got to be the smallest I've ever seen.

Sea view from room 102 was great 👍. Comfy Bed ! Food and Staff were all very good 👍. Heads up if your arriving on a Sunday, don't arrive around lunchtime as you won't be able to park. The place gets extremely busy with it's very good Carvery's.

The music played over the loudspeakers throughout the bar, reception and restaurant was not to my taste (50's classics are not everyone's cup of tea) and overly loud.

Dinner and breakfast were fabulous, lots of choice and all cooked to perfection. The staff were really friendly and attentive.

Dogs weren’t allowed in the restaurant for breakfast so we had to sit it the bar area. This wasn’t a problem, the bar was nice, however I do think they could put some tea/coffee etc in the bar area rather than have us walk back and forth to the restaurant. There seemed to be several people with dogs while we were there.

We had a lovely stay. 5 minutes walk from the beach, very dog friendly. Good breakfast included in the price. Staff were all very attentive
