A bit dated - bedding and towels could be updated. Bathroom shower pole rusty.

Handy location for the hospital. Room was big and had everything you could need.

A nice bed&breakfast in Headington a couple of steps away from the coach station that has buses going to Oxford every few minutes. A clean and cozy place with fantastic staff.

No lifts to the 3rd floor. Shower in the bathtub. Took some time to find the right temperature for the shower Bed although standard was slightly too small for us. My hubby is 161 cm, me 157 cm. Seniors with osteoarthritis in their knees should be aware of all these when picking a hotel..

Spacious, light, clean room . Quiet room away from the traffic. Bustops just outside the guest house. Friendly, helpful receptionist/ landlady?

Only criticism is the air freshener they use in the rooms. We needed to open the windows as soon as we got into the room. The smell soon disapated though.

Clean, Friendly hotel that suited our needs. Staff were friendly, hotel was clean. It's not a Hilton or 5 star hotel, but it's great value for money, clean and serviceable.

The only thing that we had issues with was the television, which we couldn't report at the time due to reception being closed. Didn't stay long to wait for it to be fixed, Hopefully the next visitors will not have the same issue.

Continental breakfast included which was nice, staff was very helpful with all our requests and needs, including leaving room key after reception had closed as we arrived really late. We went to the Open day and it was very easy to get a bus from the hotel to the destination we needed. Thank you!

Hardly any hooks in the bathroom, and no counter space to put make-up etc. down. Shaving type magnifying mirror would help too.

Nice continental breakfast with good choice. Bus stop to town right outside the gate.

I was greeted by a very friendly and lovely woman. Even though our room was a rather unusual shape (did it used to be a corridor?) it was very clean and tidy with everything that we wanted. Also the great thing was that the bus stop to central Oxford was right outside the door.

For 2 days of the stay there was no wi fi, even after we informed the staff nothing changed, the only option for breakfast is continental, I do like a cooked breakfast on holiday.

Large comfortable house just outside Oxford, nice room, pleasant staff, the bus stop for Oxford is right outside Dial House, the bus runs every 10 mins great service

Comfortable accommodation in a quiet, accessible location

The accommodation was clean, comfortable. Perfect is the small snacks in the room (coffee, water, biscuit), even when cleaning refilled. You can order breakfast on site - 8GBP per person, kids free. Nice choice of continental breakfast and much surprised by the eggs made to order to our preferences. A big advantage is the bus stop right outside, in 15 minutes you are easily in the centre. Best was to buy a Group ticket for the whole day for £9.60 and no need to deal with anything all day.

From the moment we arrived the Dial House exceeded our expectations. We arrived early and were able to check into our room straight away. The room was a fantastic size, with lots of complimentary tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits! The breakfast also was lovely and excellent value for money. The staff treated us fabulously. We were sorry to leave and would certainly stay again.

A friendly and simple hotel conveniently close to Oxford

It is a bit dated in terms of decoration and maintenence. What was appreciated was that, for the most part, it was quite clean. But there were easily corrected maintenence and cleaning that would have raised the quality for me (room 8). For example, the overhead lampshade in our room was thick with dust - nothing an extendable duster could not fix in an instant. There was also a handle on the inside of the bathroom door that was hanging and in need of a screw, and an obvious missing hook on the back of the bathroom door. (I say this because there were limited spaces for 4 people to hang towels and this would have helped!). There was also quite a bit of mould in the shower - again very easily fixed. Many of our towels were also quite ragged around the edges.`I knew from the pictures and the reviews that this was a simple place - and again, we very much enjoyed our stay. I just say these things because taking some small steps to pay attention to these types of details this would help to raise their profile. I like friendly and local places like this and would stay there again.

The staff was very friendly! We were always greeted warmly and our needs were taken care of. The location is great. A bit outside of Oxford, but the bus stops - literally right outside - were easy and convenient. The small village of Headington up the street was also great for shops, coffee, and groceries. There is also an Oxford Tube stop about an 8 minute walk away. Although it is on quite a busy street, it was not overly noisy (other than street noise if you are on the front of the house). There is also a lovely yard out the back if you feel the need to just sit and read a book. The room has a kettle with several kinds of tea/coffee, bottled water, and biscuits which was very thoughtful.

The only thing I didn't like was the bus lane and bus stop that obscured the entrance but that was a minor incident.

It was the hottest day of the year and the host turned up with a fan to help cool us down. This was unexpected but very welcome. I have mobility issues and our room was up a flight of stairs, again the host helped us carry our luggage to the room and offered us another room for the next day. Again a very nice gesture. Also I would like to apologize for borrowing a couple of forks from the dining area, but I did return them washed and cleaned.😁

The room was on the second floor and as I was attending the hospital the day I booked for that night I struggled a bit with the stairs.

I did not have breakfast. The room was very clean and comfortable. I slept well.
