The pool is actually really small and located next to the window to the restaurant so it wasn’t really for swimming in, more of a plunge pool if it’s hot out and you have no other choice to keep cool.

The staff are so helpful and friendly and the location is perfect. Very comfy beds and lovely bathroom products.

Bathroom doors are sliding, which ultimately means you don’t have full privacy, and it was rather expensive considering the price didn’t include things like breakfast but those are minor compared to the good things!

Some staff experiences were a bit odd - our group of friends traveling together (4 people total, 2 people/room) also stayed at the Mondrian, and one night we had them over in our hotel room hanging out (total of 6 people, not a party by any means). We were being quiet and just watching TV/talking but after a visible smoke break where the front desk people saw us all hanging out together, management came up to our room and told us everyone had to go back to their own rooms (?) which was an odd request, felt a little like summer camp and being told it was bedtime instead of being functioning adults paying for a hotel room.

Super comfortable beds, great daily housekeeping that somehow never interrupted us and discreetly made up the room whenever we left the hotel. High-quality toiletries and luxurious experience - overall, great value for money. We really enjoyed our stay here and it was very centrally located.

Not sure if I like the rebrand of the pool area as Blue Marlin.

I’ve stayed before. Cool decor, good food, excellent cocktails. There used to be a small swimming pool on the roof, it goes down a treat.

The staff at Blue Marlin (pool and restaurant) were really rude and awful service. We went to use the pool and were not treated well. Were told that as it’s the hottest day of the year there was no room! We then saw numerous others being let in and kissing the hostess so clearly she knew them. We paid a lot of money to stay there to use the pool and then not allowed.

The check in process was great. We were lucky to be given our room early. Great location in Shoreditch and walking distance to Liverpool Street station.

A clean and classy hotel with friendly staff. We enjoyed the young, energetic vibe of the rooftop bar. We also appreciated the midday checkout time and the fact that there’s free on street parking from Saturday pm to Mon morning.

We struggled with getting the media working but someone came and helped! Rooms are small but was ok for a 1 night stay!

Stylish and comfortable. Team were really helpful. Good location - 10 minutes walk from station. The pool was great and drinks on the roof were lovely - great cocktails! The shower was lush and had the option of a steam! Room has robes and decent coffee :)

Private members club within the property meaning eating here is strange at times. Breakfast wasn’t great for £30

Beautiful fit out and central location though can feel edgy at night. Lots of bars and eateries close by. Rooftop pool

Swimming pool was very small and hard to access on Saturday due to a brunch event. Was also disappointed with the breakfast considering the price.

They forgot my birthday surprise even though I put it in the reservation that I was celebrating but they compensated me with a small gift which was nice. No parking on site and no spa facilities.

Really lovely hotel in the heart of shoreditch! The room was super clean and well designed we had enough space for the two of us. The shower turns into a steam room which was cool. We went up to the rooftop and used the heated pool which was lovely. Had the best truffle fries too!

Minor issues really… Concierge can improve- we had some issues with the safe that we reported thrice. Eventually it was resolved. Complimentary coffee and milk in the room were not replaced unless specifically asked.

there was some noise on the night we stayed from around 1am-3am, possible local venue with a late licence. we've stayed before with no issues, we stayed on a different side that time. so that could be the issue. we also encountered slamming of doors from 830am-1030am, possibly the cleaners as it went on for some time - couldn't have been other guests.
