One point lost for poor WiFi in our room. But the room was right at the end of a corridor so if WiFi is important to you, ask for a room better connected to the WiFi. (Mobile reception not great for Vodaphone, but better on Sky).

Spacious room. Clean. Good breakfast. Friendly helpful staff. We were walking Offa’s Dyke and were given a lift to a point a bit nearer to return to the oath in the morning. Note that not all paths on the map exist on the ground. To get down to the village aim for Cayo Farm.

Hairdryer in room 5 was cold (broken element?) And TV couldn't access BBC1 (a shame as the Olympics were on!)

Very friendly staff, clean rooms, lovely food and good drinks in the pub, working WiFi, super breakfast, great value.

Stayed whilst running part of the Offa's Dyke Path. The Crown Inn, is a few miles off the path, but was worth the diversion. I had a lovely evening meal. The breakfast was also great and set me up for another day of running. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. The local shop was an added bonus.

Nowhere to hang clothes. No hangars or wardrobe. We were there for a wedding and couldn't hang up dress or suit etc.

Fantastic location for walkers. Facilities suitable for walkers, hiking etc. Location very picturesque . Great breakfast. Wasn't there for the dinner but menu looked good.

The shower was handheld and not very powerful, although there was a bath as well, which was great as an alternative.

The Crown In was a beautiful place to stay a traditionally quaint B&B in the heart of the countryside. Friendly staff and great food. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. We loved our stay here.

    Evening meal was poor.

Not sure how to review this place. When I arrived I was met by a man who said he was the landladies husband, he was friendly enough but seemed only able to give one word answers. Later I went to the bar and asked for a menu, I had bought a number of new books at the village shop next door and started to read them. I realised that I had been sitting there reading for an hour and no one had been to see me, I had to go into the kitchen to get my order taken. The young girl was really friendly and helpful. I opted for the bevan sausage from the homemade menu but it turned up more like a micro-wave meal. The creamy mash had no butter in it, the peas and Yorkshire pudding looked like they were from the freezer. Only the sausage had any flavour. The one saving grace for this place was at breakfast time and the lady serving it, she was a lot more engaging and the breakfast was really good. Hopefully this was just a one off.

Evening meal with succulent steak cooked exactly as requested with usual accompaniments was excellent.whilst breakfast was generously portioned. Only 2 rooms occupied on the night I stayed. Although room overlooked the road, it was really very quiet. Sheila and Phil are very attentive. Overnight pricing on the high side but food and drink acceptable. Furnishing in the room was absolutely clean but dated.

Compared to other overnight accommodation along the Offa's Dyke Path it was expensive for a basic and rather dated room.

It had all the essential facilities for a walker doing the Offa's Dyke Walk, and the dinner and breakfast were good.

The Crown Inn has plenty of character. We were amused by the flat screen tv. So tiny but the landlord was brilliant putting large tv on in games room for us to watch World Rugby match.

We were attending a wedding so Crown Inn was 5mins away from venue. Good evening meal and lovely breakfast.

Our bathroom had a bath only, no shower, but that's about it. A few things in the room were broken, wonky or otherwise worn but it didn't matter much.

Smooth arrival process, a good size room, and very quiet even though it was fully booked. The breakfast facilities were lovely and we felt very looked after first thing in the morning! Good amount of parking as well.
