> Went for food downstairs (dinner) and the woman said there closing soon (6pm) we then said we are guests she then proceeded to sit us down. Why would she deny us in the first place, she didn't seem very happy with us after. > Dinner was average, got the chicken which was over cooked and tasted burnt and the ribs where decent but nothing spectacular. > Lighting in room is pretty bad, the room was pretty dim throughout so hard for partner to do make up without natural light.

> Great Location, 5min from Car park (Straight Road) & 10min car journye to Quendon Hall. For anyone wanting to know, it's roughly £18-£25 Taxi cost from Cross Keys to Quendon. > Rooms are cosy but FYI it's very humid although it's a graded building nothing the hotel can do about it. > Breakfast fantastic with a range of selections from hot too cold. > Hotel Reception Team staff where friendly.

The beds were close together and some of the pillows and cushions were feather! Allergies!! It wasn't clear what the coffee pods were, decaff etc. There was no other coffee in the room or decaff t-bags. The bathroom could do with a soap dish at the sink and we couldn't work how the mirror light worked. For a person with gluten and lactose free intolarances the breakfasts were limited. I felt I was having to make compremises with what was available.

The room was a good size, spacious enough not to get in each others way, and very clean and the beds were comfortable. We were lucky to have a room that was quiet away from any road. The shower/water pressure was the best I've had when staying away!! The food quality and amounts of the breakfasts was very good.

Our room was a bit tired, blinds falling off, shower was small. Room lacked privacy without blinds closed so lacked natural light. Only one small bottle of water for the 2 of us.

Nice central location, car park 5 min walk but easy to get to via a footpath. Bed was comfy and breakfast was great, in terms of both the food and the service!

There was a marked difference in the quality of the breakfast from the weekend to weekdays - we were very glad we went back and tried again. The room was very comfortable, but a bit on the small side with all our luggage.

Waiting time for food was at a rather relaxed pace.

Rustic charm. Extremely comfy beds, large soft bath sheets, pleasant staff and nice food.

Checking in was a little confusing as it was done at the same desk as the restaurant bookings by the waiters/waitresses.

The staff were very friendly and Libby was particularly helpful, going out of her way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The restaurant was good and the inclusive breakfast was great. The decor in the bedroom was a tired and needed some attention, but it was clean and the bed was very comfy.

I paid extra for a larger room but to access it I had to walk outside and up a spiral staircase, this would have been a challenge for an older person. My room was cold (the heating wasn’t working) and the toilet facilities were odd - the bath was in the bedroom and the toilet was in the corner behind some frosted glass, there wasn’t a lot of privacy.

The welcome was friendly, the hotel was central to the town and it had loads of character.

The check in and check out times are a bit mean maybe a hour earlier to check in and a hour later too check out. Especially as you can have breakfast till 11am in the morning.

The rooms was lovely and a very comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast.

Dusty cobwebs no windows in room

Im sorry to say that the room we had number 9 was very dusty with cobwebs everywhere needs a good clean and we had no hot water to gave shower in morning rang reception to tell them they said give it half hour try again unfortunately still no hot water so gave up got dressed So we won’t be staying again
