There isn’t anything not to like

Fab location almost on the sea front and easy walking distance from loads of things. Staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. Rooms were clean and beds were so so comfy. And then the food….. a young chef who makes his own bread and enjoys feeding people good food!

It's all good!

We were made very welcome from the start, all of the staff are very friendly and accomodating. We had a comfortable stay, a nice dinner (with some Adnams beer of course) and a lovely breakfast.

I have no complaints!!

It was a great location, five minute walk away from beach, the staff were extremely helpful and lovely food. Clean room, good facilities and comfortable, there was privacy even though it is ontop of a pub, not to mention breakfast included which was a bonus!!

• The only negative would be the location of my (wrong) room. Unfortunately it was - seemingly - above the main entrance below. The door to which would close with a loud noise/bang each and every time someone arrived, or departed from the pub. Which I suppose would be an issue if you had an early start the next day, potentially. • That being said, I would definitely recommend the pub/hotel and hope to be back, in the right room :) *Although, it wasn’t until I checked out I realised I was in the wrong room. I wish they’d let me know, as I’d booked the Double room, but was checked into the Small Double??*

• From the moment I arrived the customer service I received was outstanding! I am terrible with names, however, it was a young man working on the 15/5 who checked me in. • The room itself was very nice. Spacious and sufficient wardrobe space too. Comfortable bed - I mean, really comfortable! • I had reserved a table for an early dinner at the pub, the atmosphere was very friendly throughout the evening. P.S. best scampi I’ve had in a long while! • Going back to customer service and staff, they were all brilliant. Even post shift, and those on their day off. • Breakfast and the service received the following morning (16/5) were again outstanding! • I would recommend The Cross Keys.

Nothing to complain about. The gulls are noisy in the morning but not a lot the property can do about them!

Very friendly staff, nice food in the pub for dinner and for breakfast. Room was quiet and comfortable with a bath that ran lovely hot water.

Not a big issue but there was a bit of a "bump" sound whenever the night front door to the rooms was slammed - since there are only 3 rooms it only happened very occasionally.

Welcoming staff. Location very central, convenient and quiet. Had character, superb breakfast with locally sourced ingredients. Decent sized room and ensuite. Good shower (not softened water!). Comfy bed. There was a fan in the room for hot weather and I imagine the radiator would suffice in winter.

All good and felt confident that attention would be provided if something had been wrong.

Staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. The accommodation was very comfy and the pub was centrally placed and just a stones throw from the beach. All was very quiet by 11.00 if not before so there is no concern about staying in a small pub. Would definitely stay again and will be recommending.

When we went out for the day and put up the ‘Please Make Up My Room’ tag, there was only one day where anyone came into the room from what we could tell and I think the towels were folded. It would be nice if the bed was made, and it was more apparent someone had done a quick service of the room.

We had such a lovely stay! The staff were so incredibly friendly and helpful (particularly Oscar- thank you!), the location was excellent, the room was very comfortable and the pub itself had delicious food.
