Excellent fixtures in the room very modern & up to date. Very well maintained too. Loved the shower gallons of hot water. Very comfortable bed. the clarendon ticks all the boxes basically.

Great location, quite neighborhood, 30-minute walk to the city center. Also, it is a beautifully decorated smart room with designated functional areas for working and dining. The room was very clean, and the kitchen was stocked with essentials like milk plus nice fruit cake. The host is very pleasant and provided a few tips for getting around.

Great communication from Ken, plenty of info prior to check in, spotless, really good bed linen, very comfy bed, large tv - as advertised with high quality fixtures and fixings. And the only place in 7 years with decent toilet paper!! Well done.

What a nice surprise! The building was very welcoming and felt very safe. The room was large and very comfortable. We had everything we needed and more. The decorations was also very nice and modern. Also the self check-in/out is very convenient and easy to use.

Though this was no issue, there was no reserved parking for the building. We were easily (and safely) able to park on the street right in front of the building.

This was an exceptionally well appointed, room, with a lot of space, an excellent comfortable bed, refrigerator, TV, and a superb bath/toilette. There was a great deal of attention paid to the room, and amenities with extras such as Alexa voice control for several room features, and automated draperies. The facility is situated very close to the college of art and design and a whole host of dining/relaxing options.

Breakfast was not provided, but there was a delicious little cake left for us. The technology was a little daunting, but lots of fun. The host was delightful & helpful.

Beautiful apartments, well equipped, kitchen wasn't the biggest but had everything we needed. Met by the host on arrival and shown to our upgraded room, which gave as our own door to the rear of the property. Would definitely use The Clarendon again

A wee bit of a walk into Dundee, restaurants and bars 15 mins walk, but no nice bars unless you walked further or get a taxi.

Place was superb, penthouse suite with lovely decor throughout and fantastic views over the Tay bridge, all mod cons, large screen telly and Alexa for music and operation of lights ect, milk, water and lovely Dundee cake, all lovely touches, hallway scented with atomo user. Couldn’t fault it and would highly recommend.

I rarely do reviews but this was exceptional. Great host in Kenny. I had booked the smallest room for this visit but was also shown the Penthouse. I'll be returning at some future time with my better half. Fully automated everything via Alexa in the room from curtain opening and closing, lights on and off, alarm and check-out. Plus free off-road parking as a bonus.

Beautifully decorated throughout, spotlessly clean, had everything we needed, thoughtful additions like milk in the fridge and local cake to sample. Great communication, friendly owner, really well equipped, eg automated lighting/ curtain closing. A real gem of a place.

There was no breakfast, but I knew that when signing up. Anyway, I needed a break from the Full Scottish after several days in more traditional accommodation elsewhere. If you are someone who insists on heavy Victorian Scots clichés in your guest houses and hotels, though, you may be better off elsewhere. The jury is still out on whether the automated 'Alexa' system (allowing the proprieter to operate a mobile 'reception') is a good or bad thing. The fact I never wanted for anything during my stay meant I didn't really try it out.

My room commanded a spectacular panorama of the Tay and its rail bridge. (The proprieter informed me that the same goes for most - but not all - of the rooms.) This grand old place appears to have been given a thorough facelift in recent times. This has brought the best out of original features in the communal areas whilst affording considerable comfort, space and modernity in the rooms. The proprieter clearly shares my taste for slightly post-modern decor, which is to his credit. The fact that in-room provision included a Dundee Cake literally put a cherry on proceedings.

The room was spacious and beautifully decorated with a lovely view over the river. The owner greeted us and was paarticularly helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this accomodation!
