    Nothing much to dislike.

A lovely country pub with restaurant and rooms. The food was very good with the chef going out of his way to modify a main course to suit my dietary needs. The breakfast ,with a good selection of fresh fruit , was excellent. Our bedroom was large and airy with a very comfortable bed. The standard of accessories was higher than we have normally found at other b&b's. In summer the large well kept garden offers a lovely outdoor setting to relax over a drink or two. In the pub grounds is a lovely little shop selling fresh fruit and veg, meat products, locally sourced sauces and so much more including hand crafted gifts. Well worth a visit.

I loved the property, just very hot at night time, although a fan was provided.

The location was lovely, the steering was lovely. Nice old pub and I lovely big garden, could let my dog stay and in the pub for dinner and breakfast in the morning. The food was really good. Very good value for money.

Everything - the ride out in the countryside to the pub/rooms was stunning. The pub and restaurant perfect for our stay. Our room was ready when we arrived around 2pm. It was one in a row of the 4 shown in the photo above, the end room. After checking our room out - the bed was definitely a king size and very comfortable. The en-suite facilities had both bath with shower attachment and a walk in shower. The room was large and had a lovely wash bowl with a cupboard underneath. New toilet rolls were stored there. There was a small walk in cupboard to hang your belongings as well as a small fridge that contained both bottles of water and a 250/300ml bottle of fresh milk - ideal for making a coffee in the room as and when needed. BAR AREA - although not large it was a comfortable place to spend a little time, the bar man was friendly and explained the the restaurant opening times and the breakfast times as it was Saturday when we would be leaving. OUTSIDE AREA - the outside area was spacious with apple and pear laden trees facing the row of cabins in which we were staying in that the evening. Both of our restaurant meals that night were exceedingly good and breakfast the following morning fantastic value and extremely tasty. OVERALL BOTH CHARLIE AND I THOROUGHLY ENJOYED OUR STAY AT THE CHOLMELEY ARMS AND ARE DETERMINED TO STAY AGAIN NEXT YEAR FOR BOTH OUR JOURNEYS TO AND FROM OUR HOLIDAY DESTINATION IN GREAT YARMOUTH.

The TV is too small and could be a lot bigger for the size of the room. The service in the restaurant was slow as we had to wait for 20 minutes before we received the bottle of wine we ordered when we ordered our meat

The rooms and food were good as usual and the breakfast was excellent.

Noise insulation in the rooms was poor and I had to ask three people, who had congregated in the next door room, to (please) make less noise - at 1.00am! I tried telephoning the hotel numerous times prior to our arrival to book a table for us and two visitors and to check breakfast times but I got a generic answerphone each time (regardless of time of day) and non-one ever rang me back with answers to my queries.

Room was comfortable and everything necessary was provided. The bed was comfortable too. The food in the restaurant was well presented and tasty.

The place is perfect and anyone looking to stay in the area should definitely stay here as you will not be disappointed in any way. The breakfast was amazing, I did not finish it. The room was spacious, clean and had all the facilities. Plenty of tea coffee and other drinks within the room for you to choose from. Wi-Fi was excellent. Bed was massive, lots of pillows, warm and comfy. A quiet nights sleep. A warm welcome on arrival and in the morning for breakfast. Loads of car parking space. If I was in the area again I would certainly stay here. Absolutely nothing to fault. I arrived late at night and wished I was able to arrive earlier as they had a great menu in the pub that I would have liked to sample.

We had to wait a while to check in, however they did apologize so maybe on the days the pub is closed during the day a check in time could be arranged by phone. However this did not have any affect on our stay at all.

Lovely large room in outside annexe with a large bed and a lovely view over the garden. Evening meal very good in pub with delicious breakfast the next morning.

So glad we found this place… 2 miles off the A1, the accommodation was lovely. Very clean, had everything you needed including your own outdoor seating whilst you took in the orchard and gardens of the pub. We ate here too and the food was very good and all staff at dinner and breakfast were very friendly & helpful. We could not fault it & would highly recommend

We headed over to the bar for a drink in the evening, got our drinks and headed into the garden. 5 minutes later the bar person came out, locked the door and said bye. It was 7:15pm on a Sunday evening. We were aware the pub shut at 8pm but had no warning about an early close. Tad annoying on a parents night off 😂 the opportunity to order another drink first would have been good

Breakfast was beautiful and plentiful. We also ate the evening before and the steak was lovely.
