If you suffer from knee problem you may consider staying in the main building where the reception is because the stairs in Edinburgh quite challenging and hotel o occupied different buildings

The breakfast service has been appalling on both times we’ve been here- they’re either grumpy, slow or incompetent- we all have bad days- but we visit on the first morning get our experience confirmed and then go elsewhere. Not a deal breaker for us, nor should it be for anyone else.

The rooms are great, the hotel staff are really helpful. The bar service is good and friendly (same company as breakfast, which is a contrast) We will return when we next visit Edinburgh.

Everything was amazing, what stood out was the amazing service particularly from Noreen who welcomed is. Comfy bed and pillows it was very clean … everything was perfect.

There is hardly any storage space. Room rather overwhelmed by the sofa and coffee table. Kitchen equipment could do with being reviewed. No pans but everything else for dinner!

Excellent location. Easy to walk or get bus to attractions. Bathroom very good and practical. Bed comfortable. Nice to have mini kitchen and washing machine

The bed was too small. We expected at least a queen size, and we're used to a king. This was a double which impeded our ability to sleep well.

The location was perfect. The staff was wonderful, the room clean and spacious. We loved having a washer and dryer in the room. The restaurant adjacent to the hotel that provided breakfast was excellent.

Phenomenal property in a perfect location. Loved walking out the door and being a part of the excitement of the city. Our room was above expectations.

Convenient location. Very comfortable and well laid out. Our room had a view of St. Giles Cathedral which was really cool. The windows open enough to let fresh air in but had a second window to keep noise out. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They even went out of their way to help me dry my laundry.

The apartment needed maintenance, sink was partially blocked Also they should tell people in advance what’s the easiest way to get into the hotel, Google map will lead you into a long stairway that’s inconvenient with heavy bags

There is little to not like. The only thing that I would comment on was the fact that a £60.00 deposit was taken on my CC on check-in, which came as a surprise as I wasn't advised of this at booking. I was informed by the receptionist that it can take up to 14 days to return the deposit after check-out, which seems like a long delay. Not a big issue, but why not just be upfront about it when the booking is confirmed so that you can plan for this?

It is located right in the heart of old town Edinburgh, within easy walking distance of the train station, tram to the airport, and the new town. I was expecting to be kept awake at night by the noise, but I didn't hear a thing. The apartment has everything you need for a short stay, and it was very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The small carton of milk and bottles of water in the fridge were a nice touch. Very clean, felt very safe with the security code entry.

Nothing - parking was a short distance away but we knew this and it wasn’t an issue. Staff helped with bags when we parked briefly outside the hotel to unpack. They really were very observant and helpful.

Helpful staff, restaurant on site, comfy room/bed, great bathroom with fabulous shower. Travelled with our dog who was welcomed!

The wooden floors were really squeaky, but I guess this is something to expect in an old building like that. Our room was in their second building and there were a couple of stairs, which was not very convenient with big suitcases. The staff however helped us carry them to our room.

We loved absolutely everything about our stay. The room turned out to be even better than in the pictures. The location is ideal, right on the Royal Mile. Easy to get anywhere. The room was clean, beds were very comfy, all the necessities were provided. Great breakfast starting from 7 am. The staff is friendly and very helpful.
