Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNothing at all!
The most magnificently quirky property I have stayed in! Room had everything you need and the house itself was treasure trove of the most amazing ceramics! Everywhere you look, there was something beautiful and creative!! Kay was away but even from afar, was an amazingly attentive host! Joe extremely helpful too! Could not recommend enough!! Peaceful location but only a 10min taxi ride into Brighton and bus stop only a short walk!

United KingdomWas a little bit of a journey to get to & 2 of the rooms are close enough where you could possibly hear neighbors on the other side. (But they weren’t loud at all in our case)
It is a very unique place to stay & the atmosphere is very calming to stay in. The owner is very understanding & willing to help you settle in.

United KingdomThe room is small , that was not in itself a problem as it is probably geared to single person short term stays but the double bed is very low and would not suit anybody with movement or flexibility issues.
The space was absolutely perfectly located for my purposes and was close to several a enities

United KingdomBeautiful & quiet loft room was spacious and comfortable. Loved the ceramics throughout the house ...inside and out. Was an easy down hill walk to the North Lanes approximately 30 minutes. We did however get a taxi back in the evenings! We were a couple and thought that a second chair and a small coffee table would be a very useful addition to this lovely room. Unfortunately we didn't get to meet Kay but she was very helpful on the phone and with messages. We would definitely stay there again.

We arrived at the Ceramic House to be greeted by a wonderful array of a beautiful front of house adorned with Ceramic Tiles. On entering we walked into an outstanding decoration of extraordinary, tasteful and beautiful tiled home. We entered our room which was spacious, clean and to find beautiful decorated walls in keeping with the rest of this fantastic house. The garden has again wonderful ceramic tiling including the large garden table. It also includes an array of wonderful plants including rose bushes, lavender and some wine plants. We thoroughly enjoyed our three nights stay at the Ceramic House and have already requested to come and stay there again. I will highly recommend Ceramic House to everyone as the best place to stay in Brighton. There is also a regular bus no 50 which took us into the city centre in 10 minutes which was very convenient indeed.

United Kingdomthe only thing that was an issue was being able to unlock the door- not the owner’s fault but it did take me over an hour to get in to the house! it requires a bit of fiddling with the key but other than that the stay was excellent!
it was a great location, at first i thought it would be a bit far from the centre but it was a quick trip on the bus to get there! the room was very spacious and comfortable and i enjoyed the en suite bathroom too :)

United Kingdomit wasn’t a problem for me (I have the same bed at home) but the bed is a floor bed which is very low. some people might struggle with it but I found it very comfortable. just a heads up for anyone with mobility issues
the gallery room is self contained which meant I got a lovely private space even during a busy period of pride weekend at the house. The space is small but perfectly formed with everything you could need for a quiet peaceful solo stay

United Kingdom(The mattress is good quality but slightly harder than most hotel ones.)
I stayed in the Gallery room. It is an amazing place with meticulously designed ceramics everywhere. Even the shower tiles individually contoured to give a bamboo theme. Yet the room is modern and everything seems to have been carefully considered to make sure that one's stay is perfect. There are good garden areas for sitting outside.

United KingdomThe tiniest of mentions, not a complaint in any way really, was the handwriting on the Wi Fi code meant i tried several times to get in ! Probably me and not a reflection on Kay.
The ceramics throughout the house are obviously amazing to see. Makes the place unique ! I did think I was going to a B&B but this was much nicer.
