Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomLovely house, well equipped for a group of friends. Close to Cromer town with plenty of parking. Log burner and hot tub made us choose this accommodation over others.

United Kingdom2 windows in lounge with no blinds or curtains would mean people couldn’t really sleep in there on sofa bed. Kitchen cupboards awkward to access due to large cooker hood. I was surprised that there wasn't a booklet with important phone numbers eg doctors, taxis etc, nearest chemist and pubs and restaurants and supermarkets etc plus details on how to use various things around the house. Also possibly more leaflets on things to do in the area for those that don't know Cromer and Norfolk.
Beds were comfy, all rooms a good size, bathrooms were lovely, plenty of space for everyone at the dining table, hot tub great, only short walk from town centre, lots of walks around the area. Parking for 2-3 cars (remember another property parks here too). Loved our stay here and would definitely come back to this house again. Luna our dog enjoyed it too! There was a gull nest on the chimney of the house next door which we loved watching every day 😀

United KingdomWe were very disappointed that this was in fact a 4 bedroom house, with the 5th being a sofa bed in the lounge and not all the windows having curtains I can't see how this qualifies as a bedroom! We specifically booked this as it was stated in the description as a "5-bedroom holiday home" furthermore the bins outside were overflowing and some inside hadn't been emptied! No bin bags and only 1 dishwasher tablet provided. The floor in the lounge was uneven and bowed which was a slip hazard. All in all it did not meet our expectations. I also reached out to the owner twice before the holiday with questions and they didn't reply.
The hot tub and outdoor space were great as well as the location!

United KingdomWe believed the property was to be a five bedroom property, however realised when we arrived that the 5th room was the living room. Not all of the windows in the living room had blinds, therefore it made it very uncomfortable to sleep in. We paid for the hot tub but found it very difficult to use/heat up. There was no manual or instructions for it and when we contacted the management company via booking.com and Facebook messenger, we did not receive a reply & still haven’t had one to this day. No one answered the phone and when visiting the office, it was closed. The biggest disappointment was the double bedroom next to the bunk bed room. This room had not been cleaned. The bed was absolutely covered under the covers & on top with black dog hairs and there was coke bottles and cans all under the bed. We have taken photos of this. Our dog is an apricot colour Cavapoo, so we know the hairs were not our dogs, plus she is not allowed to sleep on beds. We wanted to get clean bedcovers but again couldn’t get hold of the management company. The bbq was absolutely filthy. The grill was clean, however the fat at the bottom of the bbq was so bad, that all of our food burnt and it was constantly on fire. We have a video to show the bbq was switched off but the flames were very high. Food was left over in fridge and bread bin from previous occupiers.
The size of the property was a good size for our party and the fact it was dog friendly was great. It was in a good location, not far from the Town centre and beach.
