Scruffy, run down outside . Dirty, litter strewn , weeds. Paint work awful. Outside door and frame to rooms was rotten .. . ....... It is a shame its been left to get in such a mess. Our room dark n dingy. Broken sash window , all dirty. Wallpaper stripped off Iin one place. . ..... Then came the bathroom. Toilet basin and bath ok and clean. But the toilet flush was broken, wouldn't turn off automatically. The bath panel was badly split. 2nd morning, shower water kept going cold hot cold hot etc then turned itself off on off on etc....... However, the worst part was the mould in the bathroom,. Along the top of the walls, on the ceiling, on the extractor fan.......it only needs a wipe with bleach! But as it is , it is probably a health and safety issue, especially for someone with asthma Meals below par. Evening meal OK but very small portions. Breakfast OK but disorganised service. Staff looked scruffy and not particularly clean. And why on earth would you call complete strangers ie the guests, darling/ my darlings????? Will try somewhere else next time.

The service could be a bit more personal. They did not know who were guests and stayed in one of their 4 rooms when you got down to breakfast.

The room was a good size but a little tired, there is enough room for a chest of drawers as there currently is not enough room to unpack. Could do with an additional shelf in the bathroom too. The period window frames do need replacing.

The staff were lovely, the location is wonderful, the food was super.

Our room doors opened directly onto the main road. Poor soundproofing so traffic noise from 8 until 11.

Free parking useful. Good location in town for exploring. Breakfast good and there is a bar on-site of course!

The standard of the room not brilliant. Electric Mira shower unexpected and dated, long time since I saw one of those. Shower over bath also unexpected for the price. Could be rather difficult for some people to use safely without some sort of grab rail.

The room is close to the seated area of the outside drinking area and was noisy for parts of the evening. Close to the main road, traffic could be heard but wasn’t a big issue. The staff seemed to be under a lot of stress and on arrival we immediately didn’t feel as welcomed guests.

The location was perfect, with rooms located at the side of the pub. Modern decor and clean rooms.

The room whilst perfectly clean was little scruffy, pics wonky, cracked wall. The bathroom perfectly functional and clean but very tired looking, the floor in particular. The entrance hall and stairs downstairs looked tired too but a that said none of it caused a problem.

The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and polite. The bed was extremely comfortable and having a bath as well as a shower was lovely.

Road noise early morning, was woken up early because of this. Also was woken up at 6:30am by a staff member pulling a trolley outside, which was quite loud in the courtyard. Unexplained leak in corner of room on right side of bed on last night I was there. When I told a member of staff in the morning at check out, they said they weren't aware of it and didn't seem too interested in checking to see what the problem was. Felt it was a little rude, considering they didn't offer to check or thank me for letting them know.

Comfortable bed and nice room, very clean. Great size bedroom and bathroom. Staff were mostly friendly, and the food was exceptional. Next door to car park, good central location in Bakewell to amenities.

Needed a little modernisation. General refurbishments. Window old and would not close properly. Bathroom a little tired. Mattress definitely needs changing. Too soft and tired. Room felt dark. Hooks ?????
