Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomIf you are not into surfing there isn’t much to do. Communal toilets and showers were dirty.
Something a little bit different, cosy and comfy. Quiet and pretty. Wood burning fire was fantastic. Can sleep 8 easily. Would stay again.

What a lovely set up, we had everything we needed for a very comfy stay. The beds were very comfy and the wood burner was a very welcomed addition for a cold night. We will return.

United KingdomThe camps shared washrooms weren't kept tidy or cleaned regularly enough. Both days we were there the washrooms were a state with used razors on the floor in the showers and the toilets all blocked up and in need of a clean. I understand that the weather was nice and it was perhaps busier than usual but when you're offering accommodation, a clean washroom should not be compromised.
We've visited the Wave a number of times for a day trip but this was our first night staying and overall had a fantastic time! The tent was perfect - great for a large group of family with a nice log burner and lounge area/balcony to relax after a days surf.

United KingdomThe parking area was a bit far. Also at the end off the day the toiles were not that cleaned. Toilet paper was missing and the sinks were blocked.
The location was great, peaceful, away from ay noise, close to nature. Great opportunity also to learn or practice surfing. Ideal place for children as they have the space to run and be active freely.

United KingdomToliets and showers were disgusting. Hadn't been cleaned in the 24 hours we were there as still cups and items left in there from previous day. Showers broken and taps missing. If youre not fussy on that part then couldn't really fault the accommodation itself.
Tents were basic but nice, comfortable and cosy with the log burner. We were even given complimentary logs and kinderling. Beds comfy and kitchen adequately equipped with basics. Possibly could do with a toaster or microwave oven as only 2 electric rings to cook with.

United KingdomA few more essentials such as a cloth to wash the dishes, tea towel and hand soap would have been handy. It was very cold at night and although expecting it so brought fluffy pjs it was still very cold which meant very little sleep, a little warning in the right up and we would have brought hot water bottles or extra layers. Although bedding and bed was so clean and comfy.
The setting was beautiful and the accommodation spotlessly clean and comfy! Great value for money and such a tranquil place to stay, rest and have fun as a group of families getting together.

United KingdomThe beds were a bit bouncy and older backs suffered but the younger adults and children are fine. The carpark was full of pot holes and we needed to walk a fair distance to the tents but you could unpack your car first. There is no store on site but we realised there was a farm shop by the car park on our way out.
The tents were spacious and the area was easy to get about and felt safe for little ones. It was very clean. It looked lovely and the children enjoyed it. I would definitely visit again

United KingdomThe only thing we missed was somewhere to hang our coats, a little hook somewhere would be a nice touch and help to keep the tents a bit tidier. The walk to the carpark was a bit long for the little ones, but that was made clear when we booked.
The staff were very helpful and friendly throughout the weekend. We had a mixed group ranging from 3 year olds and up. The accommodation was very clean and well kept with all the basics being as described when we booked
