It is on a busy road so traffic noise is audible but no big deal The front of the building is quite tired looking but don't let that put you off, inside is really welcoming and it's run brilliantly. I felt very safe.

What a great place. Kitchen, lounge, friendly atmosphere,, outside courtyard, comfy mattress. Our room was ensuite with a great shower. The rooms that aren't ensuite have toilets nearby and with only 7 rooms in total (some ensuite) I can't see bathrooms being a problem. It's a 4 minute walk from the train station.

I'm not a fan of room scents, but that's clearly a matter of taste.

Super friendly staff, very good communication. Just 10 min walk to the lovely city centre and 5 min to the train station. The price was great, I would book it again.

Graham and his mum cannot do enough for you. The place has everything you cold ever need. Fantastic outdoor area, wonderful TV room and a well-stocked kitchen with lots of free food. This must be the best value for money in Chester, nay, Cheshire. Highly and I genuinely mean, highly recommended!

Perfect location. Easy check-in and check-out. The owner is very kind and helpfull. There is a fully equipped kitchen at your disposal as well as a living room and an interior terrace. I recommend.

Beds could have been a little comfier - but everything else was spot on.

Close to the centre, cosy little room for our family of 3. All facilities were available to us, which were very handy. I would definitely stay at the bunk rooms again. Communication was also spot on! Thank you :)

Shower was there, but barely any water coming. Towels were there, not soft or bright. Bedding was not too comfy. Space was just walk way around bed. It is not bad place but very much on budget. But we got it because of price.

Messaging about access was perfect. Place was generally clean, to man's not woman's standart. Good WiFi. As mentioned on add no private parking but 100ish yards down the street is train station parking with £9 per 24h, so not too bad. Room did not stink, no smoke or old smell.

Really can't complain about anything but we stayed midweek and I can imagine earplugs may be required over a busy weekend.

Welcoming host, very reasonably priced, was surprised that we were so well catered for with a well equipped kitchen, dining room and lounge. Facilities were all very clean. It's very convenient for both the railway station and central Chester.

To be honest, we paid a budget price, the room was basic but clean, no TV or kettle in the room, but this was all available downstairs.

Great price, location is a five-minute walk into the heart of Chester. Communal room with DVDs, and a self-catering kitchen. Room was clean, and the beds comfortable. The Deva bar across the road is a sure-fire winner for real ale lovers too!

Absolutely nothing.

The location was perfect. Right across from the train station. 10 minute walk into the very centre. Across the road and up a bit are lots of shops and takeaways. Perfect for late night snacks as my teens did. It was lovely and quiet so we all got a brilliant sleep. The kitchen is AMAZING. Just label your items in the fridge as our milk was mistaken for someone else's. There is a really great room with lots of tables and chairs to eat. A very large tv and lots of dvds to watch and sofas. Ease of coming and going as you get given the codes to the doors. WiFi was very good. Even though our room had bunkbeds and a double bed, there was plenty of room, and nobody was under anyone's feet. We overlooked a lovely yard, which is done up perfectly. Clean towels and shower gels were provided, but we had taken our own. There are plenty of plug sockets. I have already tried to book another date that I need but they have no vacancies, unfortunately. I highly recommend here 100%

Some Archeology students on a field trip could have been tidier in the communal kitchen, but this is NOT the fault of The Bunkhouse

Excellent "home from home" in my old home town. Owner Graham friendly and helpful. Within easy walking distance of the city centre and just a couple of hundred metres from the Railway Station, The Bunkhouse is perfectly located for visitors to beautiful Chester. It is definitely my choice of accommodation when in this area.
