I am writing on behalf of my elderly uncle. He is very old fashioned and traditional, he doesn't even have a mobile phone. He stayed here for two nights as he came to visit us but our spare room was out of action due to be being renovated. I dropped him off at the hotel and the welcome was lovely. The room looked absolutely wonderful and clean and my uncle said it's the "poshest hotel he's ever stayed in" bless him. He also said the bed was very comfortable, the room was very clean and the breakfast was very good with a fabulous view. I'm really grateful for being able to find somewhere locally for an elderly relative to stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone visiting. It's a great addition to the area and is steadily building a reputation as somewhere that is very good to stay, with welcoming staff and lovely rooms.

Not a single thing was wrong. Everything was amazing!

The hotel is absolutely lovely. The location, the view, the room, and most of all the lovely and extremely helpful, polite, and fun the host is. Before arriving the contact was also amazing (via email). This amazing lady helped us with everything we wanted. We had a special request about parking our motorcycles and she remembered. We got an even better room (upgrade) at no charge. The breakfast was made of high-quality products. The coffee was delicious. There was even a surprise waiting for us - the hotel is on the UK army jet plane route and every weekday they fly over the building in the morning - what a spectacle! I am coming back to this hotel for sure!

That we were en route to Yorkshire so only spent one night! We already know what we are planning to eat on our next visit.

To find a lovely Chinese restaurant for our meal that evening was an added bonus. And on Sunday nights they only do Chinese food...which was splendid. Delightful Welsh breakfast in the morning. This is not a delux hotel...but had everything we wanted...and at a fair price.

The cooked breakfast was excellent and the owner even offered to make it earlier so that I could still have one before I left early to go ip the mountain.

The hosts were very welcoming and even made sure that food was available later than the usual cut off period due to us checking in later during the day. Our room was well equipped and comfortable with luxury bedding helping create a relaxing environment and good nights sleep. The building is a beautiful Grade II listed structure, with it's history and some information about the surrounding area and hosts provided in a book left in the room for guests to read, which was interesting and different to other places stayed. The views from the breakfast dining area were great, even in the bad weather we experienced during our visit, and the breakfast was tasty! Would certainly stay again if visiting the same area in future.

Lovely hotel and bar with fantastic food, Chinese menu. Run by mother and son who are extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. Had a couple of issues but nothing was a problem. Would come back again and again. Good breakfast and room equipped with decent tea, coffee etc. Bed really comfortable and nice dressing gowns. Big thumbs up 👍🏻

Easier shower controls, I got the hang of it with a little help. It did not detract from our stay

A lovely guest house in a spectacularly scenic area. The room is lovely (we stayed in the celtic room) with a very comfortable bed, we slept well. There is a large bathroom with bath and shower, the shower took a bit of working out but got the hang of it. There is a Chinese restaurant within the hotel which we made the most of, the food is lovely and reasonably priced as are the drinks. I believe there is a nearby pub that servers pub grub if you don't fancy a Chinese meal. The breakfast was lovely with a good choice and the view from the breakfast room was also spectacular. Would we stay again, yes.

This is a lovely friendly family-run hotel in a Grade II listed Victorian building. Beautiful setting overlooking the River Dyfi. The restaurant/bar serves great Chinese meals. The traditional breakfast was excellent. The place has a lot of character, with an intriguing collection of antique musical instruments alongside other period artefacts and furniture. Highly recommended.

Only minor issue was I was a bit later in arriving and missed the kitchen, so just be sure to check first.

Really nice and spacious rooms, double insulated windows incase people are worried about some traffic noise (minor during my stay). Really comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious! Good bar atmosphere.
