There was 3 members of staff....One member of staff was rude from the minute of walking in. The other member was on her phone 99% of the evening no interest in clearing the table.

Comfortable bed .food was tasty. The location.

Food didn’t really live up to expectations. I was disappointed with the vegetarian pasta dish, and the vegetarian falafel dish had some strange flavour combinations. Breakfast was good though.

Great location, comfortable room, great staff. It would have been nice to see the open log fire being lit so close to Christmas but the bar still had a cosy feel.

Only deducted 1 mark as the veggie breakfast was a bit over done and not a patch on the evening meal we’d had the night before, but that’s still being harsh.

Location could not be better, dinner was lovely, staff were all super friendly, our room exceeded expectations, the bathroom in particular! Has to be the warmest & cosiest Inn I’ve ever stayed in. Fantastic and would 100% book again.

The room smelt funny when we went in and the en-suite also smelt. I think it was potentially the portable heaters in the room that created the smell but unsure as I couldn’t place it. Also the carpets could probably do with a good clean but appreciate it’s that time of year where it’s hard to maintain.

The breakfast was lovely, the staff were equally lovely and the location was perfect. The room was cosy and warm.

Pleasant hotel for walkers and dogs
    • Leisure trip

Shower needed re grouting and water pressure was a dribble on cold tap. Heating had obviously broken down and there was portable heating in most areas but none in bathroom. Hotel is as expected for use by walkers and muddy wet clothing etc and never going to be spotless. Room was £129 per night which is a bit high for this type of hotel. Outside areas need an attention as overgrown with weeds.

Comfy bed. Good breakfast. Nice bar and restaurant with decent food. Hotel is suited for walkers and wet dogs. Free parking.

The room was small, and a bit rough round the edges. Shabby paintwork, and was very, very warm. During kitchen hours the window couldn't be opened because of the overwhelming smell from the extractor fan - fried food etc coming straight into the room.

It is in an excellent location, with great parking. The room was clean, comfortable and basic. The guy who checked us in was very friendly and informative.

Had a supior room but the bathroom light didn't work so got moved to standard room, (no recompense) vanity light in bathroom didn't work, no central heating just a feeble plug in heater. Advertised outside as roaring log fire ! No fire. End of October it was quite cold.

The location was very good, the breakfast was very nice, the room was very nice. The staff were lovely very apologetic but beyond thier control for the problems.

Booking email confirmed an 8 - 9:30 breakfast…. We needed to be on the go as soon as possible in the morning as walking 17miles and only 10hours of daylight so wasn’t too happy at sitting waiting for half an hour (8:30) for the restaurant door to open for breakfast. The breakfast however was great and the lady who served us was really lovely.

Location was great, called in once before to eat when visiting Malham so knew it was here. Beautiful building, clean room with everything we needed. We would have loved to eat here again but the 3 things we would have chosen from the menu weren’t available so we ate over the road (who also had their log fires roaring).

Started with terrible internet So booking in was painful !!! Lovely restaurant and beer garden but both not available to use !! Management sketchy - small things asked for extra gravy kitchen bell rang three times whilst he stood and talked to the locals therefore came too late !! 1:30am whole hotel evacuated due to smoke alarms and no one on site to sort. Obviously no fire and next morning no explanation or apology!!!

Location was fabulous Room was adequate for the money we paid Best thing about this place was the chef Sunday lunch was lovely
