Tables in most areas were sticky !

Great location with free onsite parking. Doors were closed on arrival but we were able to leave our car and take a walk, checking in on our return. Room was clean, quiet and bathroom had been refurbished. Host worked hard to provide customers with breakfast, on his own !. Good choice of cold and hot food.

So we had issues with the lock on the front door and our room door. Often took several attempts to actually get in. The place needs a good overhaul and some serious attention. We used to come here years ago and remember it as a thriving pub, not so anymore. Once all the day trippers had left it was quiet and the staff leaving around 10pm to go home. We had to have our last drink outside as they needed to lock up. The locals don’t seem to go there any more.

Thé location is excellent with lots of hiking on your doorstep. The staff were all very friendly and the food was wonderful.

The property overall needs an upgrade. I gather from other sources that the place needs new management and ownership. Oh and one more thing, CHANGE the FRONT DOOR!!

All the meals were superb, the choices excellent, the chef was the best!

There was nothing to complain about. I was happy with our stay and it was exactly what I expected from a country pub.

There was a good choice for Breakfast and the service was good with friendly staff.

The manager was unwelcoming and miserable. It was a real dampener. There was no food on Monday night. We therefore eat elsewhere every night. Plaster is peeling off the ceiling in the dining room. It is really bad and will eventually fall off. The plumbing in my friends room was poor.

Malham is lovely. Buck Inn sits in a great location and looks the part. Generally the decor was good. Boltmaker is a great beer. The bedroom was comfortable. The boot tray is an excellent idea in the bedroom although I left my boots in the car.

The toilet seat fell off This revealed it was unclean where it had hinged The bin in the bathroom hadn't been emptied from the previous occupant's stay The shower was luke warm The room needs a small armchair rather than all available space taken by two cupboards! (stool that was in there - bit useless) A bedside table on both sides instead would also be good rather than just the one Dinner. Slight misleading on menu. Says 'award winning' sausages. Unfortunately these were tough skinned through over cooking and gravy from packet I think. Breakfast perhaps too minimal for price of BnB. No muesli option In all cost me £99 + 37 (meal) £136 - this may be cheaper than the local going rate but to be enticing - needs to be looking at the details bit more.

Location outstanding Met two employees - both friendly and welcoming Bed super comfortable Linen fresh and clean Relaxed Sticky toffee pudding superb!

It’s an old building and it needs to be refurbished. The bar is a typical walkers bar, also in need of some tlc as it lacked any sort of atmosphere.

The beds were comfortable, the sheets pristine and the towels fluffy. The dinner was excellent.

Lack of facilities for staying customers. Nowhere to sit apart from your room. Not able to sit in restaurant till time of booking and bar very busy. No coffee available in the afternoon/evening yet available for breakfast. Limited continental options for breakfast if don’t want cooked: two cereals, no yoghurt, no jam, only two slices of bread available, only one juice so had to ask, no hash browns on the advertised breakfast when ordered, just told ‘no hash browns’. No, “sorry, we don’t have any today”. Just really poor and disappointing, especially for our visiting guests who were looking forward to their breakfast.

    Location.
