There’s nothing we would fault.

Breakfast was excellent and fantastic value for money. Staff were all helpful and lovely. We ate in the restaurant on the night of our stay and the food was great.

rooms were bit hot

located near the canal for lovely walks with a great pub on site serving great meals. easy enough to find with satnav. Good free car park, very friendly staff with nothing too much travel. WiFi worked well. generous sized bathrooms with a bath and full shower and even a free bath bomb. spotlessly clean and an excellent full breakfast included - would highly recommend.

in the draws on the corridor wall chest of draws was sticky so I used a wet cloth and cleaned it and was shocked to find there was blood in and on the draw. we hope no- one had hurt themself badly. we had door hangers that if we didn’t want the room made up we just said do not disturb. we are well travelled and this is the first hotel when the room wasn’t made up. on the first day we used the sign do not disturb but out of the five nights we only got the room made up once. sadly. for £450.00 we did expect at least to have our tea and coffee replenished.

very friendly helpful staff. it was ur second stay at this lovely place.I love the fact that the place is I. the country side but a good central point for a base. breakfasts were lovely (thank you Tracey - nothing was too much trouble.

Perfect location for us, part of the Bubble Inn gastropub, by the canal. We were picking up a car from the car dealer next door so this let us arrive bright and early and get the day to enjoy driving the new car through the Peak District :) The room was clean and comfortable and were refurbished fairly recently - we went for the one with the bath, which my wife really appreciated, and we had a good breakfast included. The pub itself is popular with real ales and a good selection of food. There is a Sunday carvery which is also very good - we had this on the previous trip. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. The rooms are in an extension behind the pub, all on the ground floor and very quiet. There is a private parking area for hotel guests at the rear - you need to get the access code to open the barrier when checking in. Check in at the pub - the small reception isn't staffed. Overall, we had a great stay here! Recommended - we will be back!

The heating wasn't working and we didn't have hot water in the morning. So there was no chance of a shower. A little unfortunate given the cold weather! We didn't get much of an apology or anything.
