The coffee served for breakfast and in the bar. It was over boiled and had a burnt taste. Everything else was fine.

It’s strategic location in the village and, being an Inn, the different ambience from hour to hour, day to day, depending on whether the bar was open, the weather and the day of the week.

I was unable to use the shower as it was over the bath which was rather deep.

A picturesque little Inn, in a beautiful setting. Breakfast was excellent, good choice and served hot. We had a warm welcome and the room was comfortable.

Breakfast was exceptional and even the dog was fed! There was a fabulous selection of cereals, fruit, yogurt and juices plus the option of an enormous full English and toast. Very good start to a days walking!

Good location, good evening meal and breakfast and friendly and helpful staff. Parking is quite secure as well which was needed as we travelled on three motorcycles.

    Nothing

The food was absolutely amazing, Whitby haddock and home cooked chips with the most amazing batter. The breakfasts were delicious in fact the chef is very talented. Portion sizes were fabulous and the real ale was outstanding as were the selection of gins. The pub is opposite a quaint church and its bells were outstanding. What a lovely find and will definitely return

A bustling village pub with friendly, helpful staff. The breakfast was lovely. Our dog enjoyed her own sausage and dog biscuit. We ordered a meal the evening of our stay, which saved going out to look for somewhere.
