We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United KingdomWe were down to Somerset for a funeral ,which was very sad, and only stopped overnight, but we were very pleasantly surprised at how much we enjoyed our stay ,even for the one night . We would like to come back and stay longer. 👍🏻😀

AustraliaUnfortunately there was a fire alarm in the night. Since there is no onsite manager and guests never read instructions for an emergency, there was confusion about how to proceed after we'd all assembled outside. Everyone was waiting for something to happen. One guest did ring management, and he arrived, which was reassuring. In the meantime, my husband silenced the alarm. I spoke with the day manager the next morning and they were already onto following up - so I hope that's happened!
The Bower is a little out of town, which made it quiet and easy for parking. The motorway is nearby but you can hardly hear it. The Inn itself is really quaint and staff were genuine and friendly. Our room had everything we needed for an overnight stay. I liked that we were offered a cooked breakfast of our choice, rather than a Continental one. I really enjoyed my dinner in the restaurant downstairs, so convenient.

Lovely garden to sit and enjoy the sun with our dog. We enjoyed great food and drinks during our stay. We stayed for 2 nights and the breakfast was wonderful on both mornings one of us was vegan and they catered for this. They allow dogs which was a great bonus for us and others staying there. We had two meals at the Bower Inn one evening meal which was wonderful and a late afternoon Sunday roast both were fabulous. Highly recommend this establishment.

Everything!!! The welcome we received set the scene for the overnight stop on the way to Southern Devon. Comfortable and clean room. Lovely bed and fantastic towels. All staff from owner down were friendly and helpful. Tasty evening meal and freshly cooked breakfast. Highly recommend a say here. Hopefully we’ll visit again.

Wonderful location with character. Lovely rooms. Lovely food, helpful staff, especially the room service ladies who prepared our room switch at 9am which meant we didn't have to physically check out and then check back in. We travel a lot and this is only the second review we have ever left so the Bower Inn and it's staff really have left an impression. Back soon.

United KingdomOnly gripe was the pillows too soft , we use a harder pillow . Still slept well though, bed was lovely and comfortable. Have used the BOWER INN before and will continue to do so , highly recommended.

Everything was just lovely. The room light airy, very comfortable bed and exceptionally clean throughout. We had dinner in the evening which was just excellent and a fantastic menu choice. The breakfast was also great and the staff throughout our stay were friendly and welcoming. All in all a great overnight stay. Would highly recommend.
