The rooms all shared the same bathroom/toilet, Another bathroom would have been a bonus.also no loo paper (luckily brought our own) 🤔 Not really a negative but did have the Karaoke folk saying tara to each other for 20 mins after pub shut😂

The room was very big, the bed comfy and the duvet warm. The young man in charge was very accommodating and professional. As a budget hotel would recommend.

Pity about the stained stair-carpet, which gives a false impression. Water glass in room? Better quality orange juice? But these are just quibbles.

Really pretty, charming bedroom - perhaps slightly dated but in a good way (Room 5). Felt snug and relaxing. Excellent cooked breakfast with fabulous coffee. Great location.

The music was loud in the pub below. When getting up at 5am to go walking it was a little disturbing. Bit didn't spoil the stay

    Liked the location.

The only problem was I do a lot of computer work and, for my purposes, it would have been more convenient to have had a desk or table to work at instead of the chest of drawers. This was not a major problem though.

The location was perfect, and everything was pretty much what I expected.

Breakfast was a little out of character with the stay, no meet and greet. I got asked twice what I wanted, and he still got the order wrong. Some items cold and some missing, a minimal breakfast....One chipolata sausage, one slice of bacon, one egg, thin black pudding etc bit disappointed. Had to knock at the kitchen door for a water container (which fed the coffee machine) to be filled. He did fill it but left the end of the pipe on the carpet! A bit unhygienic if you ask me, the wife picked it up and cleaned it with a napkin. Issue with crockery as some guests were eating cereal out of cups? Won't put me off visiting again, may be teething probs...

Amazing room, clean (albeit a few cobwebs), very spacious, and well furnished with a comfy bed. No extracter fan in loo, though. Staff amazingly friendly upon arrival and throughout stay. Strict check-in time of 3pm no flexibility but no problem as we had a couple of beers which were nice, but bar nearly deserted (Thursday afternoon) Breakfast served next-door at cocketts Hotel, I'm gathering the owner have the board inn too.

We didn’t like having a dog almost under our table in the dining room at restaurant next door, both for evening meal and at breakfast. Coffee machine was dirty and broken.

Spacious bedroom which was light and had a small desk for working.

    Nothing!

Only stayed the one night but overall the room was clean and comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful staff. Tea & coffee facilities provided. Unfortunately we missed out on a meal as they stopped serving at 8pm, but the breakfast was great. Breakfast is served nextdoor at the sister accommodation. Choice of full English, cereal fruit, and croissants (which I may add were delicious!) Tea and coffee machine. Ideally located to various attractions like Semerwater, Cotterell Force, Asygarth Falls and all the walking routes. Hawes is such a pretty village, highly recommend visiting. I will definitely visit again but for longer this time.
