Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The bar staff were so helpful and polite: nothing was too much trouble. The room was wonderful with a delightful high bed and so much HOT water and great refreshments. The food in house is superlative: we ate dinner and breakfast there and both were superb.

I stayed here for 3 weeks in the late 90s whilst on business and was looked after really well and it’s just as welcoming and charming today. Lovely friendly staff that can’t do enough for you. Used to have car parking in the driveway but that’s all been converted now to a great alleyway with lovely restaurant areas. Car parking not a problem as there is a long stay literally 5 mins walk away Thoroughly recommended

Clean rooms good decor, friendly staff and some of the best food we had in a long time, evening meal and breakfast was amazing.

We came for a wedding in Seend and got to The Black Swan after midnight (having picked keys up earlier). There was soft music playing from a Roberts radio when I walked into the room and the bed looked so comfy, soft lighting, large modern bathroom and very tasteful decor. Wish I could've stayed longer. Excellent poached eggs for breakfast too.

Central, close to shops & market. Food was lovely, had a fantastic meal in the restaurant. Staff were excellent, everyone of them, attentive, and so helpful, full marks to the Black swan for having such a good team.

United KingdomThe kettle was a little grotty, the ceiling needed to be repaired (but added to the character), the bed was very low (but very comfy).
We had a lovely welcome from the staff, our room was ready, even though we were earlier than 3pm. Our keys would access the room and the front door to the pub (if we were back late). Our room was on the second floor at the back, overlooking the courtyard. Fresh milk and water available in the fridge on the floor below. The room was lovely and airy and the window opened. Lovely products in the bathroom. Very comfy bed, lovely and quiet overnight. The staff member we saw when we came back in the evening and in the morning was lovely. We didn't have breakfast as we were meeting family elsewhere but it looked lovely as we wandered past. I'd definitely stay again.
