We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United KingdomWe loved this hotel it’s beautiful. Tastefully decorated in relaxing colours and with respect to its history , classy yet comfy. That’s a nice balance. Katie the owner is great I wish her all the success she deserves. The restaurant is superb our meal was delicious. Truly great chefs and all the staff seemed happy. A lovely garden with acers and a magnificent mature ash so good to see it thriving. Altogether a lovely stay a real pleasure. Not too many rooms so lovely and quiet. Gorgeous fittings and oak doors so lovely and quiet. We will definitely be back if we have the opportunity to visit Oxford again or stop on route to the West Country for a rest.

Breakfast options were very good. The pub also does evening meals which was great after a full day out! Staff are very friendly and helpful. An issue with the room was speedily rectified The Pub is well situated for a short break to Oxford

United KingdomWe would have preferred a buffet style breakfast. It is difficult to chose from a menu when you don't know portion sizes. Breakfast portions are large & it was good.
We liked that The Black Boy was in a residential area, with a shirt bus ride into Oxford. We prefer somewhere quieter than a busy city. The Staff were great. Both friendly & helpful. We dined in the restaurant one night & the food was delicious. The rooms are clean & comfy with a good shower.
