We was disappointed with the service at breakfast as we waited for 55 minutes for our food to find out that it hadn’t even been put through ! This was stressful as I had my two autistic children with me and patience is not something they have !! Once breakfast arrived it was nice !

We had a family room … I liked the dividing wall in the room which gave some privacy

I would have given it a higher rating if the shower had contained hot water. However, I did raise this with reception who was excellent and refunded part of the cost without me having to argue it out...well done and many thanks! They also informed me that this will be investigated and fixed shortly. therefore, I am not put off at all and will return.

The location is absolutely superb and overlooks some of the many wonderful and beautiful buildings you will find in this village/town. The rooms are also very lovely and clean which means we have stayed here before and will not hesitate to book again in the future. We love Sandwich and the excellent breakfast included in the stay sets you up for a good day of exploring and enjoying.

Bathroom was clean & fine a for a night but shower needed updating was very weak.

The breakfast & dinner were great, location perfect. All staff were friendly, bed was comfortable. People complaining are not taking cost or star rating into account.

We know it is an old building but a lift would have been a great help. Otherwise and excellent stay.

No aircon, and not given option. Dirty carpet. Old and poor conditioned decore. Very expensive for the standard.

My evening meal aside I have nothing negative to write. My stay was short and my memories are positive so I would have no qualms about recommending the Bell to anyone.

Beautiful location in a beautiful town. I only stayed one night but I may well return. The Bell is a popular busy pub and hotel overlooking the River Stour with plenty of outdoor seating with very limited parking. Breakfast was excellent but my evening meal was disappointing.

Staff very pleasant, but the hotel were suffering from staffing problems, which put pressure on the staff that were on duty, although this did not adversely affect our stay.

This is a medieval town, so the hotel has no parking, but does offer a free voucher between 4.00pm and 10.00 am. Parking is a bit of a pain though for other times, Quay car park is Ring Go which is fine if you already have the app. Not the hotel's fault, just useful to know.

Great location overlooking the River, and easy walk to town and all attractions. Clean and comfy room, great breakfast freshly cooked, and super friendly team.
