Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesRoads are a bit tricky, and the Avon was in flood the day we arrived. We never met the hosts, they left the key in the door for us.
Ample off street parking. Converted farm buildings. Big room, with a slightly awkward step next to the bed, by the door. Comfortable bed. Nice treats left for us. No breakfast, but good restaurants in Bradford on Avon. Convenient location for Great Chalfield, Bradford on Avon Tithe Barn, Fairleigh Hungerford Castle.

United KingdomCan't think of anything to critique.
Really cosy stay, close to Bath, which is why we picked this place but you also have a lot of other shops to close proximity as well which makes this place really convenient to stay.

United KingdomNothing it was lovely!
Beautiful little setting and a really welcoming homely feel. When we walked in we were pleasantly surprised by the high standards of cleanliness and comfort and it was toasty warm all ready for us to settle down in bed. Lovely little touches with lots of tea, coffee and hot chocolate being provided. There were flavours to suit every taste bud! The hosts were super helpful and readily available to help out if needed and ready to top up supplies. The mini fridge and toaster were an excellent added touch! Great value for money for such high standards provided!

United KingdomFaucet taps, my worst nightmare but perhaps it's because I'm not used to them.
Very flexible and helpful host, the check in is smooth and without the need to disturb the host if you're arriving late like we did. Room is very nice, big bed, decent bathroom and lots of little extra like a very decent coffee in a bag or lovely cookies which we appreciated. Room has everything you need and the location is brilliant for the likes for Bath, Longleat, Frome etc plus the little village of Bradford on Avon is so so charming!

This place was really cute! It's lovely and quiet and the grounds were cared for beautifully. The room was a decent size but best of all it was a big bed! Also, they were very generous with the tea and coffee included in the room.

United KingdomI can’t think of a complaint I would make. You’re never 100% comfortable when travelling around but Beechwood do as much as they can to make it comfortable.
Bed was very comfortable, room has everything you need unless you don’t use microwave ovens, shower good, hosts lovely and very helpful. Location is rural so you need a car or taxi to get around. This is our 2nd stay here and we have no complaints.

United KingdomQuite location. Peaceful. Safe, as the owners were on site, in the main farmhouse. Spotlessly clean. Comfortable beds. Not to hot. Quilt appropriate for summer.
Lovely owners rang to ensure I knew how to find them. They didn’t provide breakfast, which I’d overlooked, as it was a very last minute booking. But they kindly provided me with some delicious bread to toast, and butter and jam. Fresh milk in the fridge for cups of tea. Not those horrible little UHT milk pods. Real milk in bottles. It was much appreciated.

United KingdomThe loft room with the double beds gets REALLY hot, and could do with a fan!
Fantastically unique cow theme, right down to the curtain pole being a hay fork! Kids loved the toy cows in their room. Had a fantastic stock of tea/coffee and kitchen basics, even milk. The games room and playground was a really pleasant surprise.

United KingdomNothing!
Ideal location. Comfortable, well-equipped room and spacious bathroom. Quality sheets and towels. Welcoming, helpful hosts - and two absolutely lovely dogs! Didn't use the games room (or the children's play area!) but it would doubtless have been very inviting for those of a slightly younger persuasion. All in all, a very pleasant stay.

United KingdomWhat a lovely place to stay and not to far from town centre , room absolutely spotless , great touches with a pint of milk and a bottle of chilled water in the fridge, also tea, coffee and hot chocolate with a selection of biscuits. I stop in a lot of accommodations throughout the uk but I have to say this is up there and will try to get back in there in a couple off weeks when I have a revisit to Trowbridge
