The location meant that there was drunken shouting and discussions for well over an hour after closing time. And the period windows are only single glazed.

Stayed here countless times, and always get the same excellent treatment from Mike and the team. Breakfasts are good locally sourced produce and quick to serve. Burt is always on point with delivery! Rooms are spacious, and have character to be expected from a historic coaching inn. Easy access to the town.

The ring main circuit in the room tripped late at night and therefore the kettle stopped working and so did the macerator for the bathroom plumbing.

Although my room was clean and comfortable, I could not open the windows and the shower worked well but the water was very slow to submerge, it did eventually go down. I should really have pointed this out to staff but I forgot to do so. Also, because my room was directly over the bar, the evening crowd were quite noisy, which was to be expected. However, this did not really interrupt my sleep or rest as I was very tired from my event and I am a heavy sleeper. A light sleeper may have found falling asleep difficult.

I had a takeaway breakfast which was quite adequate for my needs. It included a juice drink, water and fruit a pasty, a packet of crisps. However, I don't eat bananas so this I left behind. However, it was well presented and was quite enough for me. I appreciated the cleanliness and comfort of my room very much. There was adequate linen and good space in the room.

The location was perfect for us. The room was spacious and had all we needed for a one night stay. Nice to have orange juice cartons as well as water and tea and coffee. The breakfast was great, we both had a small cooked breakfast which was plenty big enough

The bed was not made nor the room cleaned during the time we were there. There are no bedside lights

Nice area with a number of bars doing food within walking distance, The rooms are above the pub and on the night I stayed there was no issue with noise from below. I had to leave earlier than expected so was unable to stay for breakfast so the very nice gentleman serving made me a sandwich to take with me and it was loveley

The Beaufort Hunt is an old building and this comes with its own issues with regard to layout, narrow stairs and furnishings. However, this did provide a rather quaint environment and it did not put us off.

The staff were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was excellent. Location was good and though parking is not available at the hotel, there was sufficient on street parking close to the hotel.

Better fittings in bar etc, getting old but still okay

The breakfast was excellent, a well cooked meal, with good tea and toast!! Due to a festival they did not do evening meals, but the menu showed good meals. A good weekend for us.

Room cluttered with furniture that's not functional or required, stale smell. TV on the wall not adjustable so laying in bed you can't see the screen straight on.

Very good breakfast freshly made by the chef. Very friendly people, staff and regulars. Prime spot in the centre of the high street. The garden at the back is large and great to chill out

our bed was rather old and the mattress had seen better days. The music from the pub below on Friday night made sleep impossible
