Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

ItalyI stayed 2 nights with my husband, and the cleanliness of the room was poor. We found the bed unmade and the pillows on the floor. The Internet was only available on the ground floor. We paid almost 300 pounds and we expected a larger room, as it was in the photo on the hotel's website, but in person it was completely different, much smaller.. Poor breakfast.. I don't recommend it and I won't go there again

Really friendly staff. Clean and tidy room good sized room. We arrived quite early and we're able to get into our room. Plenty of coffee and tea provided and a sea view. Breakfast was good and the restaurant was excellent for evening meals or lunch. Really extensive menu and a very good chef. Location on the seafront couldn't have been better. Would definitely stay again

United KingdomThe windows were very small as we were in the attic space. However everything was neat and tidy and clean even if a little old fashioned. It would have been helpful to have some bottled water as the tap water was not safe to drink. The hotel warns you not to drink it. That said there was plenty of tea and coffee plus a lovely big kettle. The lift was old fashioned and fits a maximum of two people in. Once I got used to how it worked it was fine. It would not be good for a wheelchair user.
Location was amazing, the staff were really friendly and happy. There was an amazing restaurant next door. The room is serviceable and clean. The soap and shower gel and shampoo were nice.

The location and the way staff were at breakfast. They were very smiley and courteous. The lady on reception was lovely and when our TV remote control did not work, even after changing the batteries, the TV and remote were replaced. The new set was in good working order. Nothing was too much effort for the staff. The reception area was very pretty as was the breakfast room.
